My father had an early 307 Break 1.6 HDI 110 FAP. Brilliant engine, he used the car for 3 years, summing up 180.000 km. No reliability problems and definitely enough power for the mass. He then switched to a used Citroen C5 Break 2.0 HDI 135 FAP and regrets it by now. Sure, it is more comfortable than the 307, but it consumes quite a little more fuel and is plagued by problems. ESP failures, noise from the brakes which everyone failed to get rid of so far, etc.
@MaxPayn3e i have 307 2.0 HDI with 110 HP... car rly cant accelerate... it wastes too much fuel for so low power... but i have some plans to install a performance chipe and increase turbo pressure... that will maybe be helpful...
Hi guys, I figured out there was no turbo-pressure, it was a faulty valve which regulates the waste-gate, vacuum-valve replaces, and the car is running great now!
Is this the 2.0 HDi ? bec. I got the 2003 model 2.0 Hdi with 80kW, but it is soooo slow on high speeds !!! I also don't feel or hear the turbo, has anyone got an idea of the problem ?
@johan0031 Well if you dont hear the turbo sucking air than probably the turbo is the the problem why your car is slow...And that is a pretty expensive to fix...
