Its the illegal aliens who most people are concerned about, because its a growing number whose figure is not even accurately estimated. These people typically do not add value to this economy (like the high skilled-legal worker), they take low skilled jobs from Americans and they dont pay taxes for receiving benefits

That is true EU members hold a right to work and live in any country due to the Schengen Agreement, non EU members do not hold that right. countries is what makes the difference, we do not let canadians or mexicans live and work here and we are in the same continent. Europe has no borders within Europe so someone from france can enjoy the freedom to work and live in Germany, or 25 other participating countries.

@zetally "Where do I get stats from?" Cartels bring 500 ppl per day into the AZ, earning them $3B per year, plus the $ they make on meth. Alotta cars are stolen, alotta cops die. Living in Az for the past decade the numbers are impossible to avoid...
We need to a)Secure the border b)Crush the cartels c)Make it easy for Mexicans to come and go so long as they agree to background checks.

@zetally Living in Az those stats are simply there. It would be like walking into your living room and seeing the proverbial elepahant, you wouldnt need a source because its right in front of you. A good friend of mine had an SUV ripped off and then they found footage of the perps in a walmart on a shopping spree using her credit card. When police die its all over talk radio.

Well to be fair, I gave you a source for the kidnapping stat because you requested that I do so. Just because you loathe Beck does not make the info invalid.
And yes, that stat was -- 370 kidnappings in Phx in 2009 -- the latest ones available. I really do not see how the stats for 2010 kidnappings could really be available, as it is just May etc.

@halfjackson I didn't know "illegal immigrant" was a race.... wait, it's not, get your head out of your rear. They are not "immigrants", they are criminals. Sneaking into the US is breaking federal law (just wish they would enforce it). Since the Feds won't enforce it and states can't enforce federal law, they are making their own laws which mirror federal law.
The AZ law isn't new, it's just like the federal law. It's already gotten almost 20% of the illegals out of AZ, wish my state had it.
