eee is better by my standards when i want a portable PC not laptop but like a very small PC i want a nice cheap working laptop to use for documents and some online things and like you said its so easy to use and its just less breakable and again like you said apple will make a credit cards empty while eee offers free software it it also smaller anyway thanks for the vid great comparispon

The MBA has a Core 2 Duo, DDR3 ram, a Geforce 9400M and a digital video output delivering up to 2560×1600. It also features a full size, backlit keyboard, a gigantic multitouchpad and a gorgeous 13.3" display. Its basically a full-fledged notebook computer. The eeePC is nice and all, but it is little more than a mobile internet terminal. A comparison is ridiculous in every way.

The Air is pretty expensive and as a consumer I'd think like: "The Air is nice, runs OS X, is slick is Apple but it's expensive and like how much would I need from a laptop anyway? fuck it I'll go with eeepc, I can browse the web, watch movies, check e-mail and it can also run OS X so I get a great user experience while doing so"

I think better choice would be a Lenovo's X300 vs. MacBook Air.

Yet still you have to consider that the MacBook Air has Core 2 Duo and the Eee has a 1.6Hz Atom. Tho the price tag is still a wining choice for the eee cuz you save more than 2000$ and that's ALOT.

i write this on a 20" imac aluminum. since my old ibook died, i've been looking for a suitable replacement, and the Eee PC is looking great as a text editor device for school and web design. my only concern lies in the screen resolution. anyone have one? care to chime in on that?

Starting next year, the 7" and 9" eeePC's will be replaced with a low-budget 10" model that costs the same as the 7" and 9" models did. I believe the 10" screen resolution is either 800x600 or 1024x800 - can't remember which. Anyone have any input on that?

It has to do with the type of prescription my glasses are. Also it has to do with light reflecting off the lenses. Watch "No Glasses = How Much Vision?" for more information.

4. its really not fair to compare the ssd disc to the to the eee, since the harddisk is cheaper and higher write speed

5.the macbook and the eee is upgraded as of today

6. macbook air does not have a MiniVGA, it has a MiniDVI witch supports dual-link DVI for much higher resolutions.

7.graphic cards

8.the ram on the macbook is DDR3 with supperior speed than the Eee

Thanks for the review, i m an eeepc user myself (planning to upgrade to the 1000 soon) and i didn't know, that the differences between the MB Air and the eee 1000 were that small... i laugh at lifestyle products ;). anyway.. i still wonder if one can get into the online storage using lets say eeebuntu (my favorite os on the eee)... any ideas?

the eeepc can install another os TRUJEFE. Asus is a really big and trusted company you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.

Remember the macbook air was also built for simplicity and you could still install other os's i dont think the ee can do that. but yes i would have to go to macbook air only because its from a trusted source ee is still not out yet and hasnt made an efective debuet to become a major computer company
