@TheGREENLASE X drive sucks.Audi has been with the quattro for ages before bmw and they made their system bulletproof.For example,x drive has a fixed 60%/40% drive,while quattro can change that,depending on which axel could handle the power better.
@TheGREENLASE X drive uses wheel sensors which isnt very reliable,though Audi uses central differential,which is mechanical and very reliable.I have a 1989 Audi V8 Quattro,that has the 3rd gen Quattro and i wouldnt say,that it handles bad.In the snow,its very good,though because it has lower ride than the 100 model,then it will get stuck on its bottom.

BMW has a reactive system. Once it's slips the brake system stops the spinning wheel. That's not more advanced. Audi is active. Always adjusting which axel gets more traction. Not stopping a spinning sheel. BMW may handle better in perfect conditions. But when it's not sunny out you'll loose.
@stoffeotto because at my place it is hard to find 20v turbo engine from rs2 or even s2. thus to make the car more powerful,imreza turbo engine is theonly answer.

I think that Subarus is a good rallycar to day just becouse of Audi UrSport Quattro.
In 1984, Audi Quattro ruled the planet on the dirty and slippery roads and no one had a chance too keep up with it and they had wins after wins. And now 2009, Subaru i pretty much the owner of the dirty roads just like Audi was back in the days.
Audi created group B rally.

indeed , good point. Audi have done alot for the racing world. But audi doesnt make rally cars anymore ? its a while since i watched motorsport , but if thats the case it's sad: P
Audi doesn't make rally cars anymore because it wouldn't help marketing. Upper echelon vehicles don't rally anymore. Porsche used to as well. If I'm not mistaken - the 959 was originally developed as such. In any event - they don't anymore (though privateers I think race the Cayenne at Dakar)..
