Shifu Freddie, your videos and teaching are very enlightening, thank you! There's something I wanted to ask you, how can I improve on the number of repetitions on the exercises? How do you train? Let's say, now I can do 13 pull ups, how do I increase the number I can do, I cannot seem to be able to pass that number. Could you please help me out? Thank you!

A disciple is beyond just a student. A student simply memorizes and regugitates never really looking within to discover his own wisdom or his own way. A disciple surrenders to a Master with trust. The master then helps guide this disciple in which to discover his own inner wisdom within, in which to find his own way, in which to truly express himself as a real human being, a true Artist.
when i was 15 i did almost of thi moves but i left it, now i am 27 and i want to start this exercises. i can see that you have good tutorials, do you have a BACKFLIP TUTORIAL ??
No, that is something I don't do. It is pretty dangerous, you will need a spotter and proper equipment. You have to be careful, I'm sure you'll find some gymnasts on here that have videos posted to help you out with that.
Very impressive. I am going to give your flexibility drills a try. I am very inflexible. How much of a warmup is required to do static stretches in your opinion, or do you do them cold? I find my lower back gets very stiff doing situps and burns out before my abs. Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks again for taking the time to post your videos.
Also, I am curious to know how much you weight Freddie?
I usually do them cold but it is recommended that you warm up for 10 min. to break a slight sweat. Do crunchers instead of full situps, that will be easier on your back. As you get stronger abs there will be less stress on your lower back, so you will eventually feel less pain in that area when your abs get stronger. I weigh about 148-150 lbs, it varies b/c of water weight.
i bet this guy gets all the ladies. i mean srsly how do u stay disciplined for this? do u do this for image or for the ladies or just for ur fitness? a good discipline is to always just put it for yourself and not for anyone you're trying to impress, but it is hard because it does get lonely without inspiration... How does one do this?
Actually it was very hard for me to find one good lady, lucky for me I found her! I do it b/c I enjoy it, I turned it into my lifestyle, rather than watching tv, going to the bars, clubs, I workout, I train, I read, I write, I teach, I spend time with family, I deeply care about my health physically, mentally, and spiritually. I don't do it for ladies or for image, I do it b/c I enjoy and love it. I don't do it to impress, training just makes me feel good.
@FreddiesModernKungFu Exactly! If one just does it for the image you could get un-motivated really fast, it just has to be one's hobby and to feel good about, I know when I work out I feel very good- but how does one keep up the streak from all these distractions? lol
I meant I beat the ladies follow you not just one
I just train hard for strength, speed, flexibiliity, endurance, and just allow my body to look how it wants to look. Training for image is unhealthy and does become unmotivating. Yes there are many distractions, that is why I prefer to train alone, I don't train at gyms, I train outside and in my home. Superficial ladies are attracted to money and fame, I pay no attention to them. It's hard to find one that really loves you deeply.
If you can do it all then that is very good, your fitness is well above a majority of the population. The realization that you need work, is humbleness and modesty, which is something I value and promote. Truthfully we all need some work, we all have room for improvement, it is only the ignorant that do not realize this. Take care.
It's a feeling of balance, you can balance much better and easier from rails and from a pull up bar, but on the floor, it requires a different type of balancing utilizing the forearm muscles, triceps, and wrists in a different way. I'm still working on getting good at a V hold from the ground, it takes practice. But if you can hold an L from rails that is good, training to do it on the floor is just another way to be well rounded.
I've been training as an athlete for 19 years. I've been training in Martial Arts for 11 years. I started training as an athlete at age 9. Started Martial Arts at 17.
hey man, I have never done any martial arts before in my life, but I do keep in shape and have good overall fitness. The only thing I struggle with on that list is the one hand push up. Hopefully I can learn it though and then I will submit my video to you.
Hey if you don't practice Martial Arts, you should! B/c you will represent. You train for health and fitness and that is the foundation. I would love to train with you b/c you already have the discipline. Now I want to teach you how to take your training to another level beyond just the physical. I want you to eventually represent true Martial Arts to the fullest with humblenss and modesty, without a competitive mindset.
Awesome workouts man! Alot of exercises you do I do as well. If you haven't done it already I would suggest one legged squats and the plank exercise. Situps 25, plank 1 min hold, situps 25, plank one minute hold. I have various workouts so I don't get bored. lol
I think there is a lot to learn from you. The plank exercise, I want to learn that. One legged squats are definately difficult something I should start working on. Thank you very much for the support and advice. Keep it up!
this might sound stupid, but I took a hiatus from attempting to submit my own video because I'm weary of being upside down doing handstand push ups....i dont know a safe way of getting into the position, i saw how you got out of it....u made it look easy, anyway you could make a video about this possibly?

L hold doesn't work for me. I can do it but only in the air between 2 rails, not on the ground. How do you do this?
