I don't think it's theft because he was also expressing his belief that the Quran shouldn't be burned. America stands for religious toleration, so y should it be okay with someone condeming a religion because the act of a few radicals? Free speech is great, but it's supposed to be within reason.

@nobodyimporification Clearly you haven't read it because no where in the Quran does it condone the torture of anyone. In fact the restrictions on actually implementing Sharia law that are set forth in that book are such that it is nearly impossible to justly enforce any of it. While it does say homosexuality is against God, which I do not agree with, it does not advocate or condone the torture of anyone. I am going to stop having this battle of wits with you because you're clearly unarmed.

@Tikoty I think it's got a lot to do with the fact that there's only so much we can do to stop people like that and at some point you just have to sit back and try to deal with it all, for most people that's making jokes for others it's getting angry and taking action. I mean that's just how I see the situation, don't send me comments telling me I'm stupid or anything that's just what makes sense to me.

@Tikoty who said we celebrate it. Yes we make jokes but that's mostly because there's nothing we can do about it unless it's happening right in front of you. It's either make jokes and lighten a horrible subject or get angry and go out hunting rapist down. Neither one is celebrating it. Just responses. I find jokes to be much more productive.

I think it was fine that he stole it, they were going to burn it, the people there were a bunch of fucking intolerant idiots who I honestly don't give two shits about, they could disappear tomorrow, even if it meant some of the people I knew, and I would say oh well, we're better without them.
