@mcelhenyma not so good at low speeds in parking lots and such but not too bad on the street if you don't mind the tires making some noise ,never had a problem with it. Wouldn't change it for anything..I like it
Not sure what exactly you want to know. The one I am guessing you are thinking about was called a "Landau" edition I believe. There were several different option available .From 6 cylinders to V8's ,you could even get a turbo charged one.
Mine was labeled as a 1980. The MC that I had was was stolen and then stolen from the people who stole it...LOL..The vin was scaped off and a new on issued. I may have been a 1978/79. It was one of my favorite cars that I ever owned. I was 19 years old when I had it.
It is also possible the nose was changed..either way I really like the body style of those 3 years... '80 being my favorite..This one is my second, my wife wrecked my first one.Needless to say she don't drive this one...lol
Thank you I like it too. If you didn't have double headlights though you had a 1978 or 1979 ...they were very similar. The 1980 is the only body style like that with 4 headlights .1978,1979(single lights) 1980 had quad(4) lights...GM changed the body style in 1981
Hey, I Love it. It pushes a little in corners and sucks in parking lots so the faster the better, but I find it pretty much goes where you point it. It cost way less then a locker and weighs nothing. I have tested it pretty good for 3 years and ain't broke it yet .First year with a T10 4 speed, last 2 with TH400. I think it corners better with it then it did without.
Thanks.I have not taken to the track yet.I am waiting on my other motor.I have a 327 with twisted wedge aluminum heads ,solid lifter cam Victor jr. intake with 750cfm carb. It was 480hp. When the motor is done (I spun a bearing in it) it should be about 525hp or so @6500rpms and hope to run in the low to mid to 12's
I miss my 1980 Monte. :(
