I have this one. This is the best thing, If you haven`t an amp, and play right in the line input. But me ad my friends used it with the amps, and it was good. Your hands and your ears may help you to make the right sound.

when i bought it i didnt notice that this pedal sounds only good conected to a pc,, and thats makes no sense to me,, because i could use guitar rig or something like that =s

if u want a type o feeling like gary moore feeling ur in the wrong place, and wrong stile,, for me this demo is perfect.. it has tons of feeling obviously for the style..

if u are talking about "blues"! feeling there is a demo of gary moore using this same pedal

I think he's either being sarcastic or doenst konw english to well to answer your question right. It doesnt sound muddy, although very chunky for riffage. Oh yeah this pedal doesnt kill your guitar tone like the boss metal zone. It reminds me a lot of a mesa boogie high mark / caliber series with its very pronounced bass chunk.

hm interesting. i dont think dimi is being sarcastic. i think he knows a little bit about guitar tone. however people on harmony central seem to use it like any other pedal and don't complain about it. i think i'll have to check one out to see if it works in my setup. sadly they're kinda hard to get a hold of here in germany.

i heard they're produced in asia now as opposed to russia. any idea if that's an issue quality- or soundwise?

NO idea where its produced I bought it off someone. Definitely has the mesa boogie tone and feel to it but, its not going to sound like a rectifier

how do you plag the effect into the computer for recording? do you recieve a special cable or is it the normal cable with an adapter? do you need any software for recording?

You can use any normal guitar instrumental cable. For software yes you need, here is one awesome recording program Reaper
