  • This is so amazing. I heard him live in Atlanta a few years ago. If only I had heard this recording prior to my performance of this back in the 80's. It is so perfectly pure and "as it should be"!

  • What tension and drama Moravec projects in this piece, the real Beethoven! Few pianists can play piano-pianissimo like Moravec, which for me is the mark of a true artist (as opposed to how loud they can play). I'll never forget a superb NY recital by Moravec in 1982...he played this, also an unforgettable Chopin Polonaise-Fantaisie, and the Beethoven 32 Variations as an encore!
