Right after lynch asks "and where is chester desmond? at nine seconds in, if you look at the far right CCTV, you will see a man walking wearing the same kind of trench coat as chester desmond was wearing in the the last scene where he finds the ring. I never noticed this before. Its too hard to see if its him by his face but...just thought i would point that out. Any thoughts?

I still firmly believe they hated this so much at Cannes because TV Guide had already spread the meme that "Twin Peaks was going downhill" ever since their second season started. Buuuut that's just me.

@blastingcaps Yeah, i have been saying and thinking that for years. But its really the cheesy love story lines that give it the soap feel, more than anything. And the love story lines are the lamest parts of the movie and show...oh well..its still the coolest soap in history.

This movie makes me sad. Seeing a beautiful girl like her go down the wrong path with drugs and whatnot. But it is interesting in how we get to see her downfall.

You know what just occured to me? In the first episode of TPs, the mom immediately knew something was wrong because she said Laura would never just be gone in the morning without telling anyone.

That just doesn't make sense when you see this movie, which shows what happened right before she was murdered. It should have been no suprise to her mother that she was gone considering the way she had been acting, especially because she seemed to have been gone all the time.
