Welp, my penis just became a conservative. But then again, my penis doesn't know much about politics. As a matter of fact, it doesn't know much about anything.

"She is more small government than people realize"
This is the problem with people talking before they think
Her whole diatribe was in favor of the Afghanistan War and nation building. War causes and always has caused centralization of power in any government that wages it. You cannot be small government and pro war as they are diametrically opposed to each other. There is no state that was not founded in war and did not grow in power when they went to war. War requires command and control
Penn was dead on. Mission/purpose and endgame objectives should have been set from the word go. As for the afghan people........Put up and hide carefully wireless internet hubs and handout cheap laptops to anyone under the age of 12 and write off anybody older for a loss and leave.
@cassidy99ful Do you know that Christianity is correct? The world around us reveals that G-d DOES exist, and the historical evidence reveals that Jesus Christ really did come to this earth and there is overwhelming evidence that Jesus Christ really did physically rise from the dead. Jesus is coming again and the signs of the end times that were foretold in the Bible are coming to pass.
This is classic Dana, going after people she could not begin to debate or refute effectively while on air with them by posting an idiotic, one sided, self-serving "response" to them when none of these people are present.
I thought the Tea Party was against big government... state building and foreign occupation is ok, it's only when the blacks get their welfare checks do the tea folk rumble.
Her idea of why we are there is a bit aloof. We are there to exterminate the Taliban for taking down the twin towers. We are probably there to secure oil pipelines and such as well.
I agree with Penn for the most part. We are done. We won. Time to come home.
its amazing how many males are intimidated by an intelligent woman. And for the ones that hate this country, why not go live in Iraq or Afghanistan if you are unhappy here in USA!!
@MiriamBortonMD What's wrong with simply trying to improve your own country if you are unhappy with it? I guess you are very cool about immigration seeing as you suggest migration of anyone unhappy with the state of their nation.
@MiriamBortonMD the forefathers would be pissed by your comment. They were extremists of freedom and liberty, when the government pissed them off, not only did they complain, but they fucking murdered the shit out of them and "terrorized" by putting bounties on such peoples' heads. We love our country, but we hate our government... the forefathers would agree with that.
@2Truth4Liberty Ah yyyyyeah. Sorry, but fantasy "research" from left wing whackos hardly "proves" anything. They have no credibility at all. Just look at the ijit they voted into office without doing ANY research. Enjoying your NDAA?
@andrewriley420 ok smartass, we all know people are being killed over there, there is no denying that. she means we didn't just go there to kill people for the sake of killing.
@TheWhiteboy215 Who cares "why" we went over there.... the "whys" involved weapons of mass destruction (turned out to be bullshit), ambiguous links to international terrorists organizations (turned out to be TOTAL bullshit)... and the Kurds! someone save the kurds!
Nevermind that we abandoned those people already after the first gulf war when Saddam used weapons on them.
@andrewriley420 The Bureau of Investigative Journalism has a catalog of all the drone strikes, with citations. On June 23, 2009, a drone strike killed between 67 and 83 people at a funeral, but we did manage to kill two Taliban leaders.
dana your hot not many people seem to like your opinions and even less care but could u do me a favor and yourself a favor and do this in a bikini. I bet you anything you would get more people to like this on facebook. Which none of these politicians seem to get except obama is the place where the elections will b won from now on.
Our job was to stabilize the place... Um didn't we caused instability to begin with? The CIA has interfered in the middle east since the 50's. To say we're going over there to spread democracy with a knife, is not only ironic, but complete BULLSHIT.
Penn Jilette sounds like another tantrum politics Libtard when he starts blabbling like a butt-fucking idiot. He understands history as Islam as much as Ron Paul, which is a full on Libtarded delusion.
Keep bringing it, Dana! It just amazes millions of us how basic most of this stuff is and how very unfortunate so many people just don't get it. NO ONE WANTS WAR. (Duh!) War is still an unfortunate necessity b/c of the terrorists. The terrorists are the ones that started the war. Ironically, if we let them go, these liberals would be the first ones the terrorists would murder.
Anyway, Thank You Dana...for speaking for the millions of us that simply want some sanity back in our world & WDC.
Why the name calling? What is it about you that won't let you respond in a civil manner? When the internet was first invented my response to it while speaking to a group of college students was that it was a gift from the devil. That it would allow people (cowards) to say and do things that they wouldn't otherwise do or say. Your response of "asshole" proves me right. Get rid of your anger and look at the republican congress for what they are and what they are NOT doing for AMERICA.
I have to agree with Penn on the Afghanistan issue. We don't have any legitimate reason to be over there. Yes we got rid of the Taliban, an enemy, but now that Obama is continuing to wreck our foreign policy, and we're discussing the possibility of fighting in Pakistan, Afghanistan is saying they'll side with them, not us ... so we DIDN'T really create an ally, we just changed out enemies one for another.
@HumbleWillis And regarding your first best example of 9/11 ... THE REASON they did 9/11 is because we set up military bases in their holy land! We've been meddling in their business when we had no right for decades and they're sick of it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying we deserved 9/11. It was wrong as wrong can be, but I am saying that THEY stated the reason, and the reason is our interference, and your solution is MORE interference? That's pouring fuel on the fire!
The "reason they did 9/11" is because we are AN ALLY OF ISRAEL. And if you think we should simply stand aside and let the radical Islamists commit GENOCIDE against the Israeli people, your position is morally bankrupt.
You are also very NAIVE. You fail to understand that the source of the problem is a BELIEF SYSTEM, endemic to the Middle East, which divides all of mankind into two groups: those who agree with them, and those who MUST BE SUBJUGATED.
To say we are "over there killing people" is fundamentally dishonest.
We are over there killing people WHO ARE TRYING TO KILL US. There is a difference. To pretend there is NO difference is ridiculous. See, it's not just a COINCIDENCE that you leave that part out of it. You are deliberately inferring that we are INDISCRIMINATELY killing RANDOM people, just for the sake of murder.
Fuck you and your dishonesty. If you can't make a point honestly, you HAVE NO POINT.
@UncleIrv Wow! That F-Bomb really gives you credibility. I'm not a vet, but I have a lot of friends who are, and the one thing they all say is that for every 1 of them we kill, 3 of their friends and/or family join the ranks of the enemy to get revenge. Then we have to kill those three ... then 9 more, then 27 more. We are creating our own enemy by fighting the war ... so, YES, we are over there killing people who wouldn't have any grievance against us if we hadn't been there in the 1st place
The F-bomb was not for "credibility." The F-bomb was to express that I was responding to a person with a position so morally corrupt as to not warrant any basic respect.
As for you, you have lost logical track of the point. My point was not to argue the pragmatism of the war. My point was to call out a GROSS MISCHARACTERIZATION of the argument.
Aside from pragmatic concerns, the point still remains that we are only "killing people" who are trying to kill us.
@UncleIrv People who are trying to kill us ... BECAUSE WE KILLED THEIR FAMILY FIRST! What part of that are you missing? They join Al Qaeda BECAUSE we're there killing their families! Every time we kill 1 member of Al Qaeda, 3 of their friends and family join to avenge them ... then we have to kill them, but only because we killed the first guy! If we just walk away, we don't have to kill anyone.
We did not kill anybody FIRST. Al Qaeda existed BEFORE we were there. They murdered our innocent citizens BEFORE we legitimately killed their unlawful combatants.
Nevertheless--as I've said--my point is not to argue that remaining there is the best policy. Maybe it's not! But DENYING REALITY is not a good policy either! Your theory that this all started because of US is seriously flawed. The crux of the problem is in Islamic fundamentalism.
We were there long before Al Qaeda decided they didn't like us?
Back up that claim with facts. Tell me exactly where our military was present in the middle east immediately before 9/11.
You prefer to drink the Kool Aid of Critical Theory MYTHOLOGY rather than seek knowledge. You have no real understanding of the ideology that drives Al Qaeda. Islamists DO NOT NEED provocation of any kind. They are fully self-actuated, and will continue regardless of our actions.
@UncleIrv If you're going to debate without making yourself look like a fool you're going to have to do a little research and get yourself educated before you start posting. We've had bases in the Middle East, including Saudi, Bahrain, and a bunch of other countries for DECADES. The fact that you don't know this most basic fact of the politics of the middle east means you are unqualified to debate me. Good day to you.
Yes, OF COURSE I know we've had bases in the Middle East long before 9/11, you dimwit. I figured that was so obvious it didn't need saying.
I'm talking about US military in an AGGRESSIVE STANCE. Not bases which have the LEGITIMATE PERMISSION of the states involved.
See, it's only by the twisted ass-hat logic of a liberal that a legitimate military base represents an ACT OF WAR. Sorry, but that interpretation is not recognized by established international politics.
@UncleIrv Seriously ... this is like trying to explain politics to a toddler. THE REASON THEY ATTACK US IS BECAUSE WE ARE IN THEIR HOLY LAND! It doesn't matter what we're doing ... WE'RE THERE! Whether or not you think we've been aggressive is irrelevant. They don't want us in their holy land AT ALL. I'm sorry, but I really can't make it any more simple. I won't be responding to you again. You aren't smart enough to even have a conversation.
How nice! You're "explaining politics to a toddler" by using logic ASSEMBLED by a toddler! Problem is, your toddler logic doesn't fly in the grown-up world.
The problem with your version of the rules of International Politics is that it is apparently only recognized by GENOCIDAL MANIACS--not legitimate states. Now, if you think the world would be a better place if it was structured around the whims of genocidal maniacs...what's that smell? Better change your diaper.
Why the hell would you ASSUME that I condone a policy of sponsoring military coupes and puppet dictators?
See, this is what's known as a FALSE DICHOTOMY.
Just because I point out the problems with your unrealistic understanding of international politics, I must SUPPORT the failed understandings of yesterday? Get out of the 60's, dude. International politics is evolving. It is possible to have a common sense policy without reverting to the extremes of a bygone era.
LEGITIMATE military bases (those FULLY SANCTIONED by the governments of the state involved) are only "seen as an act of aggression" by genocidal psychotic nutcases who have NO legitimate authority.
At its essence, your thinking says that our policy must not be governed by accepted international law, but enslaved to the whim of whatever genocidal psychotic nutcase is MOST EXTREME.
Bullshit. We do not "label as terrorists" whole Muslim populations. Only individuals or groups actively involved in terrorism.
You apparently can't see that your vision of international politics is...ridiculous.
It is legitimate for nations to engage in treaties with de facto governments of Islamic states, regardless if a MINORITY of their population is "nutcases." Claiming these nutcase minorities should UNILATERALLY DICTATE policy is cowardly and delusional.
Exactly! It is a very minute portion of the Muslim population. We're finally on the same page about something. Do you honestly believe that our invading Iraq and killing anywhere from 250,000 - 1.5 million (depending on who you ask) has no negative effect or possibility of retaliation?
If so then shouldn't we take war and invading countries a little more serious? Perhaps we should only go to war with a deceleration of war as it says in the U.S. constitution.
First, you've changed the subject, so I'll take that as a concession to my previous points.
Second, your statistics have NO BASIS IN REALITY and originate from left-wing propaganda. The war was conducted as carefully as possible to keep civilian causalities to a minimum. It is disgusting that leftists insist on libeling our troops with false accusations.
Whether the war was wise or legitimate is another topic. In general, I think our foreign policy has been misguided.
Actually, 250,000 is where most independent research says it starts. It goes up to 1.5 million because of the uranium we use in our missiles. Furthermore, it is very clear our own military doesn't even keep track of this number. Instead they rely on the first hand account of soldiers through war logs. Without actually knowing how many a bomb kills makes the conservative numbers skewed.
Sorry, but you're making a fool of yourself with these ridiculous assertions.
The Constitution does not say "you must have a declaration of war." Trust me, I'm a Constitutional scholar. It's ambiguous on that subject and has been debated for generations.
The definition of "occupation" does not include legitimate military bases that have permission of the hosting state.
Our missiles do not contain uranium. Unless they're nuclear missiles, which were never used in Iraq.
First you must identify what a deceleration of war actually is. When you have done that it is clear under Article 1, Section 8, that congress alone has the power to declare war. The President as the commander-in-chief has the power to defend the country under Article 2, Section 2, against any attacks. Back on point... Since the power to declare war is found nowhere else other than congress, every preemptive war you advocate is unconstitutional.
"stop killing people!" He sounds self-righteous when he says that. Lotz of libertarians do. Makes me ashamed to call myself a conservative libertarian. :)
screw RP, but boo to Theocrats...I'd much rather have Romney. He's the John Adams to RP's Thomas Jefferson.
The Tea Party is just a more educated extension of the KKK. It was conceived only after Obama became President, much like the KKK came to fruition as a result of slavery coming to an end. They are the same group with the same aims.....just wearing different clothing.
@UncleIrv LOL i was making fun of the same comment you were earlier, sarcasm. If they are going to attack our philosophy they could at least come up with a good attack. Keep the revolution alive bro.
The Tea Party "was conceived only after Obama became President" because it was "only after Obama became President" that our executive branch began expanding debt and Statism at a rate multiple times in excess of anything ever seen before in history.
Obama's RACE is not the issue, asshole. His IDEOLOGY is.
And btw, the KKK was founded by DEMOCRATS to terrorize southerners from voting Republican--you know, the ANTI-SLAVERY and PRO-CIVIL RIGHTS party
Typical little war loving Christian jerkov. I love the way she makes absolutely no real point about Kagan but spits out some boilerplate about the Constitution. Besides, all she is doing is giving a self serving recap of her appearance on a talk show, big deal. And by the way, what are we doing in Afghanistan besides propping up that scumbag Karzai? We sure ain't winning any hearts or minds or even instilling fear or submission into them.
@impeachtheretard Retard, Penn Gillette is a hardcore libertarian. This will be offensive to liberals, conservatives and generally people who let some label do their thinking. He has gone on record many times saying that liberals are more closed minded and less accepting than conservatives.
You just can't stand anyone who does their own thinking. Most truly stupid people think that way.
"in the context of the constitution" right, Dana..in the scuffle & latest that is with Libya (or Lybia..did I pronounce or say that wrong out loud? ) .. RIGHT, cause that, under the U.N. ehh hmm, I mean under the NWO, are under the Big Biz mongers and who "leads" our country without even getting what is supposed to be the United States Conrgess of approval, AKA the people's "SAY" .. sounds fair too me..hmm Buuulllshii..
@20thcentfox I did not say they were "going to destroy" Western culture. I said they are ATTEMPTING to weaken us and destroy Western culture. And they can do a lot of damage. After all Al Qaeda did cause the overthrow the gov't of Spain after they killed 192 and injured 2050 in the Madrid bombings. You cannot defeat an enemy that hides among a civilian population with "surgical strikes" and bombs. You must occupy the villages and kill the terrorists. Just like we are doing in Afganistan.
@20thcentfox What will these "international police" use to defeat the terrorists? Search warrants? Pepper spray? Rubber bullets? The U.S. is at war with Islamic Jihadist who are attempting to weaken us and destroy Western culture. They exist in over 60 countries. Unfortuantly we cannot send the 10th Mountain Division into France to kill the jihadist there. Afganistan is our first target because of the Talaban's refusal to hand over Al Qaeda. We're not there stop clitoridectomys.
I suppose this cretin says "We're not killing people" because she does not consider Afghans to be people? What a bloody moron! Her Republican friends supported the creation of the Taliban and still prop up violent misogyny in Afghanistan.
Stupid bitch doesn't realize the irony of being for smaller government and the wars in the middle east at the same time. About sticking our heads up our butts, why hasn't Canada been attacked? Saves American lives? What? Sorry, I'm reacting to this dribble in real time. Smaller gv't doesn't start wars, PERIOD. HOW ARE YOU TOO FUCKING STUPID TO REALIZE THIS OBVIOUS POINT? For u small gv't means a gv't that does exactly what YOU want it to do.
Wow this whole rant on war is so entirely misguided I can't even begin. Bring the war to your enemy? We can't wait with our heads up our butts? They don't hate our freedom, terrorists hate our foreign policy!
lol this woman has no idea what she is talking about. Everything she says comes out of a conservative fag rag. Not one fact in anything she said. How is kagan an activist judge? How are drone bombings not killing people indiscriminately. I hate how right wingers have an army of these hot bimbos they use to sway their idiotic base.
Penn Jillette...he's a freakin' clown. Who the hell goes to a clown for political analysis? Larry King, I suppose because he wouldn't know the difference.
this chick is stupid. who does she think she's fooling with her nonsense. Wasn't Iraq where the plan was hatched? Or was it Pakistan? Or was it Saudi Arabia? hundreds and thousands of people getting starved, embargoed, injured and murdered, and this bitch has to nerve to coin that whole we're liberating them nonsense. This garbage isn't even suitable for youtube. I've heard trolls make more sensical arguments.
lol, here little bullshit to do list makes no sense either. do u guys think that the people who die there as a result of us carrying out operations, while we do not TRY to kill people and actually try HARD not to, care if we MEANT TO OR NOT?! WTF. this is such b.s. - evil girl
she has no clue about the constitution. it doesn't give us the power to go to afghanistan and do ANYTHING! what a crazy and delusional freak. he actually DID ask what the job was on the larry king show. she is wrong on everything.
@vicegrips23 the funny thing about libya and pakistan, for that matter, is how the administration claims it isn't a war. I guess the logic is that if we don't have boots on the ground, we're not engaging in war. Even if you believe it's not a 'war', this doesn't address the moral argument. Is it just for us to sacrifice the lives of another nation to 'pre-emptively', if you believe enough in the threat, stop attacks before they happen. So not constitutional AND not eithical/moral.
@vicegrips23 And after violating the war powers resolution, which was the only argument they had, they are left without justification on any grounds for Libya. Oh well. More of the same. Anyone think Obama will win?
Elena Kagan makes up law as she goes along? What is this Loesch woman talking about? Her take on Afghanistan is completely whacked, too. "We're not over there killing people." She might be a cutey, but she is one ignorant woman.
he did ask and you obviously re-watched the video so, 'lost in the scuffle' isn't a reason after the fact. is afghanistan really our ally? stabilize the country? how long will that take? should we stay there for 10, 15, 20 years to 'stabilize' afghanistan? the anecdote goes, no one has ever won a war in afghanistan.
if you're tea-party person, you should want to FOLLOW THE CONSTITUTION, which means only congress can declare war.
@amindbody The Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Terrorists was a joint resolution passed by the United States Congress on 9/14/2001, authorizing the use of United States Armed Forces against those responsible for the attacks on 9/11/2001. The authorization granted the President the authority to use all "necessary and appropriate force" against those whom he determined "planned, authorized, committed or aided" the September 11th attacks, or who harbored said persons or groups.
@tlarch Get your facts straight dude, people are getting indiscriminately killed. Performing an act that has a direct effect on those in the vicinity, shows a lack of regard, which in turn makes it indiscriminate.
Only a hard right conservative can hear something as simple as "stop killing people" and then explode into a rant about why war is good and start spouting baseless accusations and turn it into a thing about them.
@666wickedjack I dare you to tell me where in my comment I said it's ok for terrorists to kill people. It's bad for anybody to kill anyone ever, but Penn's point was that the war is already over, why the fuck are we even over there if nobody can even tell us what the fuck the point is since Afghanistan and Iraq both already have stable governments and the only way their military can be tested as a security force is if we aren't fighting their battles anymore.
@666wickedjack Furthermore the assumption that I'm a liberal because I disagree with this obviously insane woman is an excellent statement about the awful environment of American politics today. No one gives a shit about standing for something, it's all such black and white Democrat and Republican nonsense that arguments for the better of the country can't even take place because both parties are so focused on trying to one up the other that the country suffers in a terrible way.
@murphy3162 yea, the government of Afghanistan is NOT stable. And yea you say "both parties are so focused on the other that the country suffers..." so what do you think the solution is? To come together and be peaceful with each other? Of course that excludes you. You can call her a "hard right conservative" say "Fuck you, Dana" and say shes "obviously insane" but when a republican challenges you, suddenly, you're the innocent one and you just want everyone to come together. Brilliant
@666wickedjack Ok jackwagon, if the government of Afghanistan isn't stable how is the United States going to fix it? Please refrain from saying "Kill all brown people because the Nazis were allowed to kill people so why not me" at any point.
@murphy3162 like i said: first you talk about the awful environment of politics in america, then you say conservatives are neither rational, nor adults. You're be-clowning yourself every step of the way lol. The problem with Afghanistan is that their government is corrupt. Open a committee to clean out the corruption. Protect the citizens so they can all vote. Burn the poppy fields. This is obvious stuff. it shouldn't take a 3rd grade education for even an asshat like you to understand it
Notice how I actually SAY things? Maybe you should try that instead of just attacking everything that you disagree with.... Which is the only thing liberals know how to do, of course. So nvm. Sorry i made the mistake of thinking you could actually put forth any type of argument or solution of any kind.
@666wickedjack You didn't challenge anyone, all you did was make a backwards comment that had nothing to do with anything he was saying. The only challenge you are is mentally, as is this screwball lady.
@bigelow345 just like what i said. Just like a true liberal, you make no real statement, all you do is attack attack attack. Attack you're opponent! call him names! That'll win the argument! I gave a rational statement, you called me names for it; you're obviously a liberal because that's what liberals do. They don't debate, they just hurl mud... or pies. Proven fact: liberals throw pies at everyone they disagree with.
@DawnOfTheDead991 no, actually liberals DO throw pies at everyone they disagree with. Liberals have literally thrown pies at Ann Coulter, William F. Buckley, Phyllis Schlafly, Anita Bryant, Milton Friedman, Bill Kristol, David Horowitz, and G. Gordon Liddy, among several others. I challenge you to find a single Liberal that a conservative threw a pie at. Why do liberals throw pies? Because they're clowns, obviously.
@666wickedjack Oh cry me a river, a freaking pie! They get pied in their faces because they are clowns too, but unfunny ones. Still doesn't absolve people like you, Ann Coulter or Dana :Loesche from doing exactly what you are accusing others of doing, such contemptible hypocrisy. You do that because you are both self righteous and simple minded.
@murphy3162 what she's saying is true. I love Penn, but simply saying "stop killing people" is childish demagoguery. The Nazis were putting ppl into death camps, but we can't kill them because killing people is wrong! It's not like killing is a natural order of life that animals and even plants do. And if you're about to say "they only kill for food!" then you obviously haven't seen orcas kill baby whales, play with the bodies, then leave them to rot without taking a single bite.
@666wickedjack What she's saying isn't true. At no point did Penn ever insinuate that democracy and freedom is only for whites and yet here she is saying that he did. This woman and all shit-for-brains conservatives concoct a strawman argument of "if you think killing people is wrong, then you think it's ok for Nazis and terrorists to kill people but democratic countries can't", nobody ever said that and if you want to call "stop killing people" childish demagoguery you seriously need to grow up
@666wickedjack Why the hell are you bringing up Orcas and then making strawmen arguments that I'm a person that think animals only kill for food? Why the hell are you thinking that if I say that killing people is wrong that I think it's ok for Nazis to kill people? If you aren't going to respond to my argument like a rational adult, wait, I should stop right there. If you are conservative then you are neither rational nor an adult.
Why you think its YOUR job to bring "democracy" to the Afganistan? Why tallibans attacking USA? Maybe because you just cant let them be free and live as they were living BEFORE? The afganistan, talibans, africans, they all have much biger history than usa, they live like they want to live. And why you think yu have rights to send there solders and "bring the democracy"? Well if someon get into my house and told me that Im , dont know, walking with my dog wrong. I understand talibans.
this chick must be the offspring of sara palin. some jerkoff general says they are not killing women and children.....must be true. nothing to do with opium and natural gas. no not at all....not!!! bad taliban! bad!! same taliban the cia helped to fight the russians?......hmmm.....this chick is a waste of electrons.
women and children women and children women and children women and children women and children women and children women and children women and children women and children women and children women and children women and children women and children women and children women and children women and children women and children women and children women and children I am so fucking tired of hearing that stfu if they were killing just men would it be ok??? Just stop killing people.
We are killing people. DO THIS BRAINLESS DUMMY READ THE NEWS??? There is no doubt the Taliban is killing their own. But when a foreign power is killing the locals you are loosing. And we have killed LOTS!! Afghanistan is a lost cause because the Bush administration let it languish while all the goodwill we had with the world went to hell in Iraq. Bush let Bin Laden get away and stay that way until the renewed effort recently got him. There will be a part Taliban government in Afghanistan.
Sorry to rain on your parade Dana, but Afghanistan is not stable.

antidoteco 3 months ago
I have to agree with Penn on the Afghanistan issue. We don't have any legitimate reason to be over there. Yes we got rid of the Taliban, an enemy, but now that Obama is continuing to wreck our foreign policy, and we're discussing the possibility of fighting in Pakistan, Afghanistan is saying they'll side with them, not us ... so we DIDN'T really create an ally, we just changed out enemies one for another.
And, yes, we are over there killing people.
HumbleWillis 3 months ago
@HumbleWillis And regarding your first best example of 9/11 ... THE REASON they did 9/11 is because we set up military bases in their holy land! We've been meddling in their business when we had no right for decades and they're sick of it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying we deserved 9/11. It was wrong as wrong can be, but I am saying that THEY stated the reason, and the reason is our interference, and your solution is MORE interference? That's pouring fuel on the fire!
HumbleWillis 3 months ago
@HumbleWillis
You are wrong.
UncleIrv 2 months ago
@HumbleWillis
UncleIrv 2 months ago
@UncleIrv Wow! That F-Bomb really gives you credibility. I'm not a vet, but I have a lot of friends who are, and the one thing they all say is that for every 1 of them we kill, 3 of their friends and/or family join the ranks of the enemy to get revenge. Then we have to kill those three ... then 9 more, then 27 more. We are creating our own enemy by fighting the war ... so, YES, we are over there killing people who wouldn't have any grievance against us if we hadn't been there in the 1st place
HumbleWillis 2 months ago
@HumbleWillis
UncleIrv 2 months ago
@UncleIrv People who are trying to kill us ... BECAUSE WE KILLED THEIR FAMILY FIRST! What part of that are you missing? They join Al Qaeda BECAUSE we're there killing their families! Every time we kill 1 member of Al Qaeda, 3 of their friends and family join to avenge them ... then we have to kill them, but only because we killed the first guy! If we just walk away, we don't have to kill anyone.
HumbleWillis 2 months ago
@HumbleWillis
Seriously, are you nuts?
We did not kill anybody FIRST. Al Qaeda existed BEFORE we were there. They murdered our innocent citizens BEFORE we legitimately killed their unlawful combatants.
Nevertheless--as I've said--my point is not to argue that remaining there is the best policy. Maybe it's not! But DENYING REALITY is not a good policy either! Your theory that this all started because of US is seriously flawed. The crux of the problem is in Islamic fundamentalism.
UncleIrv 2 months ago
@UncleIrv Talk about denying reality ... or perhaps you're just ignorant. We were there long before Al Qaeda decided they don't like us.
HumbleWillis 2 months ago
@HumbleWillis
UncleIrv 2 months ago
@UncleIrv If you're going to debate without making yourself look like a fool you're going to have to do a little research and get yourself educated before you start posting. We've had bases in the Middle East, including Saudi, Bahrain, and a bunch of other countries for DECADES. The fact that you don't know this most basic fact of the politics of the middle east means you are unqualified to debate me. Good day to you.
HumbleWillis 2 months ago
@HumbleWillis
UncleIrv 2 months ago
@UncleIrv Seriously ... this is like trying to explain politics to a toddler. THE REASON THEY ATTACK US IS BECAUSE WE ARE IN THEIR HOLY LAND! It doesn't matter what we're doing ... WE'RE THERE! Whether or not you think we've been aggressive is irrelevant. They don't want us in their holy land AT ALL. I'm sorry, but I really can't make it any more simple. I won't be responding to you again. You aren't smart enough to even have a conversation.
HumbleWillis 2 months ago
@HumbleWillis

UncleIrv 2 months ago
@UncleIrv
Perhaps we should only go to war with a deceleration of war as it says in the U.S. constitution.
davitodude 2 months ago
@davitodude
UncleIrv 2 months ago
@UncleIrv

@davitodude
UncleIrv 2 months ago
@UncleIrv
First you must identify what a deceleration of war actually is. When you have done that it is clear under Article 1, Section 8, that congress alone has the power to declare war. The President as the commander-in-chief has the power to defend the country under Article 2, Section 2, against any attacks. Back on point... Since the power to declare war is found nowhere else other than congress, every preemptive war you advocate is unconstitutional.
davitodude 2 months ago
@davitodude
Your first two points are correct and...part of exactly what I'm saying.
Your third point represents a GIANT LEAP of logic which is unsupported by the text.
Sorry, nice try, but you have not made your case. Greater constitutional scholars than you have rightly observed that the issue is not clear.

It's bad for anybody to kill anyone ever, but Penn's point was that the war is already over, why the fuck are we even over there if nobody can even tell us what the fuck the point is since Afghanistan and Iraq both already have stable governments and the only way their military can be tested as a security force is if we aren't fighting their battles anymore.
murphy3162 8 months ago
@666wickedjack Furthermore the assumption that I'm a liberal because I disagree with this obviously insane woman is an excellent statement about the awful environment of American politics today. No one gives a shit about standing for something, it's all such black and white Democrat and Republican nonsense that arguments for the better of the country can't even take place because both parties are so focused on trying to one up the other that the country suffers in a terrible way.
murphy3162 8 months ago
@murphy3162 yea, the government of Afghanistan is NOT stable. And yea you say "both parties are so focused on the other that the country suffers..." so what do you think the solution is? To come together and be peaceful with each other? Of course that excludes you. You can call her a "hard right conservative" say "Fuck you, Dana" and say shes "obviously insane" but when a republican challenges you, suddenly, you're the innocent one and you just want everyone to come together. Brilliant
666wickedjack 8 months ago
@666wickedjack Ok jackwagon, if the government of Afghanistan isn't stable how is the United States going to fix it? Please refrain from saying "Kill all brown people because the Nazis were allowed to kill people so why not me" at any point.
murphy3162 8 months ago
@murphy3162 like i said: first you talk about the awful environment of politics in america, then you say conservatives are neither rational, nor adults. You're be-clowning yourself every step of the way lol. The problem with Afghanistan is that their government is corrupt. Open a committee to clean out the corruption. Protect the citizens so they can all vote. Burn the poppy fields. This is obvious stuff. it shouldn't take a 3rd grade education for even an asshat like you to understand it
666wickedjack 8 months ago
Notice how I actually SAY things? Maybe you should try that instead of just attacking everything that you disagree with.... Which is the only thing liberals know how to do, of course. So nvm. Sorry i made the mistake of thinking you could actually put forth any type of argument or solution of any kind.

@666wickedjack You didn't challenge anyone, all you did was make a backwards comment that had nothing to do with anything he was saying. The only challenge you are is mentally, as is this screwball lady.
bigelow345 6 months ago
@bigelow345 just like what i said. Just like a true liberal, you make no real statement, all you do is attack attack attack. Attack you're opponent! call him names! That'll win the argument! I gave a rational statement, you called me names for it; you're obviously a liberal because that's what liberals do. They don't debate, they just hurl mud... or pies. Proven fact: liberals throw pies at everyone they disagree with.
666wickedjack 4 months ago
@666wickedjack That is not only a gross overgeneralization to the point of a lie, but you reek of hypocrisy and dishonesty yourself
DawnOfTheDead991 4 months ago
@DawnOfTheDead991 no, actually liberals DO throw pies at everyone they disagree with. Liberals have literally thrown pies at Ann Coulter, William F. Buckley, Phyllis Schlafly, Anita Bryant, Milton Friedman, Bill Kristol, David Horowitz, and G. Gordon Liddy, among several others. I challenge you to find a single Liberal that a conservative threw a pie at. Why do liberals throw pies? Because they're clowns, obviously.
666wickedjack 4 months ago
@666wickedjack Oh cry me a river, a freaking pie! They get pied in their faces because they are clowns too, but unfunny ones. Still doesn't absolve people like you, Ann Coulter or Dana :Loesche from doing exactly what you are accusing others of doing, such contemptible hypocrisy. You do that because you are both self righteous and simple minded.
DawnOfTheDead991 4 months ago
@murphy3162 what she's saying is true. I love Penn, but simply saying "stop killing people" is childish demagoguery. The Nazis were putting ppl into death camps, but we can't kill them because killing people is wrong! It's not like killing is a natural order of life that animals and even plants do. And if you're about to say "they only kill for food!" then you obviously haven't seen orcas kill baby whales, play with the bodies, then leave them to rot without taking a single bite.
666wickedjack 8 months ago

If you are conservative then you are neither rational nor an adult.
murphy3162 8 months ago
@666wickedjack yeah everyone we kill is a terrorist, out to kill us all! Got to love those pro life Christians.

heh,Penn is still an annoying "atheist"!!!!!:p
though I watch him just to see how atheist(s) really think.....
christianfilmer1500 8 months ago
@christianfilmer1500 The fact that you're watching one person, to draw conclusions on a group of people as a whole, is silly.
bigelow345 6 months ago
@christianfilmer1500 unlike theists atheists tend to think as individuals so watching one atheist isnt going to help you much.
