  • Keep documenting the Great Depression part 2!! The stuff you don't see on the news!!! Tell it show it!! America has to wake up!!

  • I can not understand why so many houses will be abandoned, I believe that even if a family living e a House and can not pay, it is not good for family, home or Bank to abandon. houses are just old and outdated, and a family falls on the street and the Bank will be without their money. I think it is good that the families have lived there, because they can all look to the House.x_x

  • these houses are on sale?

  • hey found ur channel , nice video

  • @uspimpclub The video is but the problem is it what we are seeing is what will happen to the U.S as a whole.

  • Maybe this would explain why there's so many homeless in St. Paul and Minneapolis, hassling me every day of my life.

  • wow, very nice video. where in Minneapolis is this?

  • i like the house at 6:02! Beautiful! Mostly Victorian era homes. They don't build them like that anymore! What a bummer to see them in this condition. Noone takes pride in anything anymore.

  • I grew up in North Mpls and moved away years ago. This is shattering.

  • Craig,

I am not easily impressed and your video is striking. Excellent photography, great music. Imagine if we attached photos of all the sites where we work with the hundreds who are sleeping outside in Mpls. Last week, we counted 280 unsheltered homeless adults and youth. • What pisses me of that the city wants to tear down these beautiful houses, when in a while when the economy/housing market recovers their just gonna build some ugly new houses. Wheres Obama's plan to stop the fore closers?! It doesnt even take money, just allow bankruptcy judges the power to re-negotiate the morgage.

  • To avoid some legal issues, I purposefully never kept addresses. You see, they often had "For Sale" neighbors, or nice houses right next to them.

It has hit the poor and the minorities. While I haven't put up their addresses, I did keep track for a while on the "official printout". While that list has varied in number, it was about 1,000 long in February when I first found it and printed it out.

  • Hey, Craig. Brilliant work! Very moving. One small request. Would it be possible to overlay addresses, etc (fading in and out)? I know this might not matter to "outsiders" but it would mean a lot to folks like me. Thanks for putting this together. Greatly appreciate it.

  • Thank you all, very nice. And while I too celebrate this video, I feel uneasy with what I wanted to be a more...positive outcome. This project isn't done yet, but I now know a bunch of homeless people...and I don't know how to push for more change.

One thing I am certain of though here in Minneapolis, is that most people drive by these homes without seeing them. After visiting 100 in my vicinity, I can't drive around the same way... I now see them everywhere.

  • great job Craig!

  • As always you do a pro job and capture the essence, the heart of heart break in this case of the situation. The music is just perfect for the subject matter. The photography is clean and speaks for itself. I will share with my Twitter friends and a few CNN news people that I follow. I hope this can get to the national level. Try sending it to the Whitehouse and the Sect for HUD.

  • Great video!

  • As good as job as can be done, considering the sad subject matter. Photography, music, pan & zoom are well done.
