The CFS London Criteria of the film is a Chimera that lives in London, and is not to be confused with the extinct CFS London criteria of the MEA and AfME.
Equally ME should not be confused with ME, or indeed CFS with CFS.
MSBP is also a Chimera that exists with CFS, but not of course in the case of CFS.
MSBP should not be confused with FII, except of course when FII is MSBP.
These confusions arise when people use the same name for different concepts. So please don't hold me responsible
There are no CFS London criteria. Devised for in-house use by AFME and the MEA, they were an attempt to help researchers study ME as described by Dr. Ramsay. The assumption that ME is the equivalent of CFS has yet to be proven. There are now newer criteria, both for research and clinical practice.
The UK's leading experts in CFS, freely admit that CFS is "Operationally Defined." The classic example of an "Operational Definition" is, "If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and swims like a duck, then its a duck." So ducks, gulls, penguins, certain lizards, a man and his wife pretending to be ducks, and my wheelie bin, are all ducks. However a duck with no legs would not be a duck.
M.E. is an abbreviation of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis and is NOT a synonym for CFS.
