  • I have met some muslims and they are truly a good Muslim. Caring, loving, peaceful and honest. But society today does not reconize that as media has brain- washed the white folks.

It fact he's a Christan but on the same token him and his father are linked with a cult. Skull and bones!

I hate the fact that so many of Nusrat's videos have been hijacked by salafis and wahhabis.

First, they ruin the image of Islam in the world.. Now they try to impose their extreme interpretation of Islam on us.

I don't care who's Shia, Sunni, Christian, Jew, Buddhist, Hindu etc. etc.

I am a Sufi. My faith is love. "

I agree 100% ... "when I came to find out about love I was ashamed of everything I said about it" YA HAQQ

  • if only I knew what he was saying someone should do subtitles.

  • i can guide u in this regards

  • yes even non muslims probably can

  • wow that crowd really doesn't seem to like it lol ...

  • Are you kidding. People were moving to the rythm. They were not understanding the words but they were digging it anyway.

Many of them look like University students, who might be studying Sufism.

  • whats that???

    have u gone crazy???

we aint even allowed to say it for our beloved Prophet man

  • dont bring hell on your self in the world.u wont even need to go to hell after death

  • YAzak ALLAH!!

    ALLAH APko Khush Rakhe -Ameen

  • nusrat just sooooo good in his qwalias

  • Allah Hoo

    Insha Allah

  • Beautiful.

  • best best best

  • ponche miraj mein, arsh tak Mustafa

Mustafa ( another name for prophet Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him) reached the 'arsh' (throne of God almighty) in the "miraj" (the prophet's night ascension to the throne)

best line in the whole qawwali...brings tears to ur eyes when u reflect on the prophet Muhammad's life (peace and blessings be upon him)

  • I can't understand most of it but it sounds so wonderful, uplifting, and touching.

  • do these people know that the singers are muslims? Or do they think they are hindus? lol I love this Nasheed

  • nusrat sang sikh prayers too and no he said he is a singer first.religion does not matter.

  • Hakknuma tu hi tu....

  • I don't much like the modulation around 2:45. Allah Hoo Allah Hoo is such a joyous song, and while the sudden mournful turn might be appropriate for the song, I prefer it as just sheer jubilation throughout.

  • its intensity you're confusing for mourning

  • Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan - a legend from Pakistan.

  • Bingo.....1000% agreed.....

  • ALLAH HOO ---famous qwalli---part I, It is great ---this is Divine Song ,Lord's Prayer & Praise----Bhagvat Geeta----call it by any name-----it is Divine Ecstacy. it is the ultimate longing of a human heart, for desire to connect with THE ULTIMATE. No need to understand the words ----but it is just to listent and get lost into the ultimate thrill of the heart. Beautiful indeed.

  • Where was he performing this?? & who in front of??

  • there are NO and i mean NO mediators between a mankind and his lord period!!!

  • yes agreed and the Sufis believe this as well.

  • the whole tone scale towards the end is unbelievable. a great man who took the art forward with a wonderful open mind.

  • ya allahu ya subhan...masha allah

many thanks for upload...god bless you!

  • mesmerizing! soul and body touched..'haal'inducing!thouroughly enjoyan=ble for ALL who listen.. ALLAH HOO ALLAH HOO ALLAH HOOOOOOOOOO ALLAH HOOO ALLAH HOO ALLAH HOOOOOOOOOOO......WOW!

  • great song and great artist

  • Getting shots of the crowd was such a goooood idea! I bet lots of those people had no clue what was going on - but they were witnessing something to remember.

  • pray4me-Jesus told me persecution is him trying to make you loose your salvation, pray for me, Holy Ghost baptizm feels like Body your perfect size coming in, electricity caressing penus, spiking, hair loss, itching in scalp, face bags and sags cause muscles tithen at instant you wink, turn, head, in vision Jesus came down and pointed like lighted needle thru heart, felt hole, all desire to live for Jesus drained out, this is teasing by God to persecute, gum desease, dreams of family in hell

  • lithium1326 Maula is an Arabic/Persian and Urdu word which defines "MY LORD".

  • Then why do people say Ali moula?? do they mean Hazrat Ali (May Allah be pleased with him) is their Lord???? isnt that Shirk???

  • yeah i dont understand that part either. can sum1 explain it. y do they say ali maula. correct me if im wrong but i thought maula means lord or rab and ali isnt our lord or rab. if they mean that hes our teacher after muhammed saw then thats fine.

  • maula means your rab(master elected by your god)and our prophet declaired it at gadir e khum, you will find it in hazrat ali maula 's wikipedia, and to sufis, ali maula is their leader and through him they can get mohammed (sm)imam hasan and hussain-the leader of heaven, hazrat fatimah-leader of women at heaven then hazrat ali is also powerful and he is the most beloved person by our prophet, ali was born inside kabba and he saw mohammed (sm)'s face when he opened his eyes for the first time

  • yes ok thats fine but am i right in understanding that ali stands as a mediator between a person and allah? thanks

  • maola means friend in arabic. as per the arabic grammar maola means friend. there is a hadees in which prophet(saws) said : if im friend of any person then ali is his friend hence we say ali maola.

  • o ok. thanx. so wen they say ali maula it means ali friend? nothing wrong with that :)

  • The power of music unites nations, a practice of sufiism may Allah the almighty bless him and grant him a place in the feet of the Holy family of the Prophet Hazrat Muhammad peace be upon him, HAQ HAQ HAQ MOALA ALI HAQ

  • hey what does MAULA mean?

  • It means "God" in Urdu/Hindi/Arabic.

  • Whats with all the downmodding, it IS funny that the white people dont really seem to enjoy it.

  • they do seem to enjoy it considerably.

  • subhanallah... esp seeing so many non pakistani people listening..

  • What a stupid, ignorant thing to say. I am not a paki and I grew up listening to Nusrat.

  • i dont get ur point :S if he didn't perform in front of non pakistanis (especially non urdu speaking people) there'd be much less chance of them hearing him... either way im simply talking about him taking our music to people who aren't well aware of it, and people appreciating it without being able to understand it

  • Ah okay, well I misinterpreted your comment.

    My deepest apologies.

  • oh no problem :) the power of music is too great! delighted to know that you've grown up listening to nusrat, as it's the similar case for me!

  • As far as i know it was in the u.k.

remember my dad having a video of this event and was played numerous times throughout my childhood..

    mashallah..

  • they are all white ppl so i think it is in uk or usa

  • nusrat nusrat nusrat world need people like you . music unite ppl and reliogen divide ppl r..i..p

  • my friend, there are so many white people becasue he is singing in the country of white peoples and second these listners are not just looking at his face i knwo they dont understand a single word but look at them closely these listners are just lost in this song(qawali), this is sufi qawali and this is the quality and magic of this qawali so that without understanding of single word peopl hav gon lost their senses just imagin if some one like me understand its wording then what it will do.

  • Praise God... If only you understand the meaning of what he sings... it would blow you away even more. It makes me want to cry. The melody is one thing... the actual meaning makes it ROCK SOLID. Search for the "Allah huu" translated by Ayesha Kaljuvee...

JazakAllah khair (God reward you good) for posting this, for increasing our consciousness of the Supreme One.... peace out

  • singing haram listining haram visiting dargah mazar haram vewing tv pictures movies haram drinking alcohal haram eating non halal haram looking beautiful girls haram wearing nice western cloths haram having fun in life haram visiting clubs pubs haram playing sports haram living in a non muslim country haram making good money through intrest haram studing western education haram askin question about islam haram why we live on earth. we too much worry about heven/hell how trillion will fit there

  • 0.50 HIPPIE!!!..haha...

  • I hate the fact that so many of Nusrat's videos have been hijacked by salafis and wahhabis.

First, they ruin the image of Islam in the world.. Now they try to impose their extreme interpretation of Islam on us.

I don't care who's Shia, Sunni, Christian, Jew, Buddhist, Hindu etc. etc.

I am a Sufi. My faith is love.

  • @skrabbler2 My Faith is LOVE!! Hats off to you bro!

  • it's from womad festival in July 1988

  • I can not understand most of what he sings but it is very obvious what a true artist he was.

What is the occasion, event here? There is a very diverse audience enjoying this.

  • subhan'Allah

  • sorry my mistake, Allah Hoo = "Nothingness save Allah".

  • it's up to god to decide what's haram or not, because it's god that's going to judge everyone for their piety and good actions/intentions in the last day, not you. so, leave nusrat alone, and if you don't like it, don't watch it. although i don't understand most of the words (since i'm not indian or pakistani), but i can guess it's about praising allah (allah hoo - from allahu akbar) & i like it. i'm sure allah will be satisfied with him. may allah reward him with a house in paradise.

  • it's a beautiful song praising allah. i think it's a great achievement for south asian music - usually sufi/nasyid music is in middle eastern style, but this is in indian style. besides, islam is for all humans that observe it.

  • what u mean haram...it depends entirely on the person lisnin and hw hes lisning to it...some enjoy it and because it sounds gud buzz of it but some like me understand the words and they mean sumthing to me so its not haram

  • qawali if with duff only ok but this is haram, prophet MUHAMMAD p.b.u.h said after in my ummah some people will belive leagal to wear silk and use istruments and singing. they people just earn money in this life but they dont know where they bring this all money it will usless in qabar and judgement day. our life is only 50 to 60 or 70 then we have to think, we have a example of alexander the great when he died what he bring.every thing was usedless 4 him we have time now plz think my brothers

  • farazknowme hasn't heard of Hadhrat Ameer Khusro rahemahullah ta'alah. The purpose of the coming of the Prophet & the Quran was to get us near to Allah. His religion has laid down the most efficient ways of achieving this goal. Hadhrat Ameer Khusro used music to create spiritual uplifting in people. The problem is, what is the limit? Islam's treatment with all things with more potential harms than benefits has always been the same. Though our first priority is bettering our own lives, not fatwas

  • yes i know , but if u use music for to call people in islam , what do u think is this right, for example if i will do gambling and then win can i give that money for charity, i can give excuse to allah im doing gambling for innoncent people coz they dont have money for eat.what do u think what allah will do with me

  • Haram? this is a another something.Haram is capitalism. your meals,your phones,your comfortables..get out our lives. now,quickly....

we love allah, prophet and our real teachers

ali and omar we love nusrat ustad

  • aamer86 can you tell me y music is not allowed in Islam, and musical instruments. Becoz to my knowlege music is allowed and so are musical instruments. Can you tell me... how r we gna know wen the day of judgement is here? can u tell me? well i want 2 tell u... Angel Israfil is going to blow the trumpet... wats dat? an instrument right?.. Angel Israfil wil only blow on the comand of Allah. So u sayin dat Allah is rong? It says in the Quran about this... so plz read it... n dont say music is rong

  • little knowledge is dangerous.qawwali is not haram.

  • qawali is haraam brothers and sisters. cant you hear the music intruments? qawali has no place in islam. it originated in india before pakistan was made b'cuz islam dnt allow music and muslim were listening to music so some people got together to compromise and so they came up with something in between music and islam . thats was qawali (music and naat mixed) - which is bigger sin cuz ur talking about Allah and the prophet (SAW) with haram means (musical instruments.

  • hmm...makes sense

  • well why are you watching this video then?

  • im not watching this video. i was browing thru and came accross this video so i thought i'd tell u whats wrong and rite. afterall, thats the quality of muslims. calling ppl towards truth and prevening them from doing wrong. thats y this ummah is the best and will go to jannat before any other. peace be upon you

  • You have no idea, what is haram and what is not, instead of preaching try listening. Everything YOU do in your life is haram, including having a computer, television and watching whatever it is you watch, learn to live in C21, and stop being a narrow minded little bigot Allah I am sure is pretty easy going about these things cos he does love man, his own creation

  • true - he's what we call a puritan - just like the talibans - u cannot have this, cannot have that. it's even worse than an amish. music is not haram, it's how you apply music that determines whether it's haram or not, for example, if it involves temptation to seduce then that's haram (such as a man touching a girl's bum or her back while dancing). however, this music is fine and may allah reward nusrat for praising the almighty.

  • qawwali is not haram.little knowledge is dangerous.-haram- has a spesific meanings in islam.

  • God!! Thanks so much DarthNazer.

  • Nothing can describe allah better than this song. Its heartening to see ustad sinking himself in the song.

  • where is this?

  • the best song!

  • Fantastic musik.

I love Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.

  • is he dead???

  • Yes he passed away in 1997, but the music that he created will live on for eternity. Nusrat lives forever in all of our hearts.

  • Man, I got goosebumps. Am listening to this after quite sometime.

  • truly a soul mover

  • Isn't that Rahat in the far right? :-)

    (at 2:25)

he looks soo young! and thinner ;-)

  • 1 of the most powerful musicians of all time

    god rest hsi sole

  • the 3 best musicians in the world(in my opinion and maybe for many other people) is Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson & Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Jackson is most but Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan is from Pakistan and people understand his music with their hearts. Thats INCREDIBLE!!

  • I too am a huge fan of Jackson and Elvis and of course Nusrat. But I think Nusrat is much superior to Elvis and Jackson when it comes to truly good music.

  • what about Kuldip Manak, 2pac Shakur and Rick James

  • They cannot compete with Nusrat in their wildest dreams.

  • They cannot compete with Nusrat in their wildest dreams.

  • what a legend

  • related to ur meet issue, it is a concept which is important for only one religion i.e hinduism, but God is still a world wide concept,so u r just comparing apples with oranges.I think u r from india or, but its not important for me where ever u r from, may allah guide u and me right,

    ur friend umar.

  • For me allah has given every thing the life, and he has full right to snach it back and no body can stop him by doing so...but i know this is stupid for u cz simply u dont believe in the concept...

  • hi,my friend i know u dont belive in God or allah tht's y u r using bad words against him.but the point is,tht when u dont belive in something, is it necessory to use bad words against it?.

  • Hi,

i don't know u r christian, jew, muslim, hindu, sikh, budh or what ever but keep in mind that Allah,God,Ishwar,Bhagwan are almost in every religion. Moreover if u don't believe in God even then just try to respect the concept because it's a world wide concept which is respected by majority of people in the world atleast and i hope u by degradding the concept u are trying to degrade yourself not the concept cz concept is not dependent on ur believe.

    with regards

    umar

  • une musique sacre un chanteur de tres grands talent que dieu prends soin de son ame

  • You're really gonna hate him when he burns your stupid ass for eternity dude.

  • Nusrat Sang the same song in university of Washington , you should have seen the people how they were in a trance , Nusrat Recieved an Hounorary PHD
