I also play a Fantom XR. It is a very beautiful instrument, rich of many librairies that can be used to produce other sounds than the originals. I think it is a very musical instrument, highly useful to play with a more experimental synthesizer as the Virus TI. Your playing is very beautiful.

New, they were about $1300, but I don't know if they're still available. I bought mine on eBay for somewhere around $700.

Man if you ever had a business in which you gave synth lessons I would be the first to sign up. Since watching your videos for the last two years or so I finally decided I want in on this hobby. Im looking at either the Roland Juno-D, Juno-G or the Roland SH-201 to start. If you ever get either of those post videos of them as well. Im already impressed with those synths. Take care.

Some advices about the above synths. Juno-D is very limited, SH-201 is virtual analogue and way different. Juno-G offers the same sound engine as Fantom-X(R). Go for the "G". :-)

Yes, actually a whole bunch of them. :) Someday I should make videos of the synths I have, featuring the worst-sounding patches I can find on each one. :)

The Fantom XR sure has a lot of neat patches. You've given me a new hobby of trying to emulate those I like with my Korg synth. (Still stuck on Ice Palace!) Love the nifty little tunes you come up with so effortlessly.
