  • i knew steven jackson was a beast but damn

  • i knew steven jackson was a beast but damn

  • got 83 this morning....never felt that burning before

  • strength and endurance right there. SJ is a beast

  • Thumbs up if your face cringed while watching this video.

  • this has got to be one of those things thats harder then it looks

  • i gather i could probably get 30 in 2 minutes. i can rep out a set with 450 lbs so yaaaaa

  • his face is hilarious

  • HE DID SAY 38 MORE REPS... 38 MORE 2 MIN. DRILL LEG LIFTS. CRUCIAL!!

  • holy fuck

  • @Pwhite516 how can you do 2 minutes of leg press in five seconds.

  • Steven Goldfish Jackson?

  • greatest BJ?

  • i'll try this tomorrow morning.

  • This is not hard just tried it today and got 105 at the end of a leg workout, for an elite athlete this should be cake. Maybe he has on more than 225? who knows....

  • @ben44mlb in 2 minutes?

  • @maxpf yea in 2 minutes its not hard and i squat 3X 365, i do this at the end of all my leg workouts, given his leg workouts are probably more intense than mine being an elite athlete it is still not hard to get higher than 80 in 2 minutes

  • I got 75 my first time! If only I can be as beast as him in all other aspects.

  • He went ape shit on his old record

  • blood sweat and tears that dude. BEAST

  • yea, much respect to SJ, but this is theater. Many NFL running backs bench press 225 lbs for at least a third the amount of reps that SJ is doing on the leg press. IMHO, Back Squatting 225 lbs for max reps in 2 minutes would be a much more difficult task, and (seemingly) a task more worthy of SJ's time than leg pressing. He could always do max reps of 225 lb calve raises in 2 minutes too...sigh

  • @fnchdrms87 he might have low back problems, causing him to shy away from squats

  • Is that just two 45's on each side? I gotta try it

  • well I can do 900lbs leg press, but only 295 atg olympic squat, I should try this

  • i DONT SEE THE POINT OF THIS

  • @SMWhit3out

The point of this work out is to get your leg muscles to muscle failure. Alot of times athletes will do a couple sets of failure to cut down on there workout times. Especially if they are working full body.

  • why not squat 225 pounds for max reps in 2 min?

  • @fnchdrms87

Squats are the best workout for legs. However, when trying to reach muscle failure, this would be the better option. He can control the weight and rack the weight once he reaches true muscle failure.

  • @fnchdrms87 Exactly! This is not a squat.. a squat doesn't lock your muscle in 1 motion and therefore it balances the effort out, to balance, stamina, strength and skill, therefore much harder, but also much better.. if you want to USE your body that is. If you're just body building, then it doesn't matter. and when the hell did 90 seconds turn into 2 minutes ? :D

  • Less weight more reps that's the key.

  • Yeah that's some shit right there. To all you lazy couch slouch that's endurance, you don't know anything about that.

  • i could do that in like five seconds

  • The hardest RB to tackle mannn

  • My legs are hurting from just watching this.

  • he never started getting tackled until his later years.. when most running backs would have retired because of injuries.. hes still at a high level

  • he a warrior dream team should get em next year

  • Just looking at this makes my legs hurt...

  • MAN and i have a hard time getting out of bet in the mornings

  • i got a good 10 of these in me..

  • Please, I could do this with my penis.

  • @HybridD91 i could do it straight sack nigga

  • great workout to do if you want to get power and speed

  • haha i love all these people saying 225 is nothing. ya its not but its called endurance training. ya know do less weight at high reps. you people gotta lern your shit. and im sure he can do much, much more if he is knockin out 90 reps.

  • My favorite player just because of his unbelievable work ethic!

  • he was gonna say fuckk : O

  • Stud muffin

  • i use to be able to do that... then i took a arrow to the knee

  • 1 49er fan disliked this video

  • i wonder how someone like graham benton or rob waddell would do on this? (not comparing these guys to Jackson, they are totally different athletes) would be interesting to see

  • dont lock ur knee nub ;)

  • It's only 225lbs. I warm up with 505lbs and do 20 reps, I am not impressed

  • @pbruce But do you run as fast as this guy does? and can you keep going for as long as this guy does?

  • @TumbleRumble Cool story bro

  • @pbruce ok mr.nfl running back

  • @faceoffkang Never claimed to be an NFL Running back. Just stating a fact. Leg pressing 225lbs is not that impressive. My dog leg presses 225

  • @pbruce can you that many reps in under two minutes?

  • @faceoffkang Why would anyone want to do 90 reps in 2 minutes? There is no technique involved, this is a prime example of how to snap some shit up. Just to clarify with you I do 515lbs for 18-24 reps as warm up. I max out at about 945lbs for 4-8 reps. But I'm not natural, I'm on DAT DERE CELL TECH

  • @pbruce 90 reps of 225 in two minutes is insane and that is incredibly impressive

  • @pbruce strong misc presence.

  • @Rhythm825 GOMAD NIGGA

  • @pbruce your a idiot this is a football workout not a bodybuilders

  • @pdawgphillips COOL STORY BRO

  • I bet his legs were burning like shit and his ass was probably was on fire along with his hamstring....I do the same weight on leg press except I can only bear 23 reps

  • this guy is a monster

  • DO YOU WANT IT, OR DO YOU JUST KINDA WANT IT?

  • Shit is that healty?

  • he looks like a fish when he breathes like that lol

  • I wish dallas would of taken him :/

  • @troy11995 I did but honestly right now it would be an old RB with a big contract and right now Murray is better

  • he's so awesomee!!!

  • Damn 52? im only able to do probably at most 6 or 7 i'm only 16 though but good god that s alot of reps.

  • I bet this guy did this after a grueling workout session too. What a beast.

  • i tried this and i got 57 :O

  • this guy will kill you! hes a fucking beast!

  • I hit 50 ;)

  • Even though im not a rams fan steven jackson is one of my favorite players. Hes those types of running backs that powers his way through.

  • THE FUCK???????? I DIDNT KNOW THAT WAS POSSIBLE?

  • My favorite player is right here. and im a buffalo bills fan

  • @dja216 somebody hacked my page I don't know this dude and don't want too

  • he is my cousin he really is

  • @triggaa lies

  • This really isnt that impressive since thats a tiny amount of weight for leg press. I could squat 225 x 30 at least, so leg pressing that weight x 60 would be pretty easy for me. And this type of training is stupid for football, pointless.

However, Jackson is a beast and is a million times more the athlete i could ever be so my opinion means nothing compared to his. that is all

  • @PowerSprinter what are you even saying? this kind of training is fine for an nfl runningback. its working on power and endurance at the same time. 225 isn't much but doing it with consistent power and form can get taxing after a while, especially if someone has been working out for a long amount of time, which he clearly has been.

  • @pdpfatal37 runninbacks should train purely for power in the weightroom, nobody says otherwise

  • @PowerSprinter thats your opinion. personally i think you should take the video with a grain of salt. there's merit to this training since an NFL-Level athlete is doing it. Also, if runningbacks should just train for power in the weightroom then why are they subjected to the 225 bench press like everyone else in the combine? Because in addition to strength, its also a good measure of muscular endurance. you can and need to develop both in the weightroom.

  • @pdpfatal37 Yes that is one of many reasons why the 225lbs bench test is ridiculous. Muscular endurance is best left for a track or a field, cardio and lifting dont mix, thats the general consensus among both high ranking trainers and scientific researchers. But then again, what do i know, its obviously working for him, im just some short white kid on the internet

  • @PowerSprinter Football definetely has a high degree of muscle endurance involved in the game. Yes the average play is only around 7 seconds but with only usually a 25 second break in between plays the game play is not strictly anerobic. I also agree that the 225lb bench is not necesssary for lineman/LB/TE and FB they should be required to test out on at least 275lbs or higher. But for a RB 225 is a great show of muscle endurance in the upper pody. Personally I wish they tested on Hang Clean

  • @hzlwdcntrlftbll yes im saying that muscle endurance is important in football, its just inefficient to try to train for muscle endurance in the weightroom imo. Doing sprints on the track at 90% speed of 70-100m with short rest or something like that would better serve him and be more sport specific than leg pressing a million reps. But i do agree with you on everything else you wrote entirely, especially the hang clean. I think squat, an hang or power clean, and bench should all be tested

  • @PowerSprinter this isn't to build just muscle endurance this is to build his muscles endurance's drive. such as when he has 3 defensive players trying to take him down yet he drags/pushes them for 5 extra yards. He's the best back in the league at doing that so id say this workout is significantly better than just doing sprints, which will mostly just increase his overall endurance and cardiovascular system. id say using a sled/prowler would be the best but then again im not an nfl trainer...

  • @costelai I agree that the prowler would be best. This weight is wayyy to light to help him drag 3 huge ass defenders for 5 yards. Notice how dragging defenders takes roughtly 3 seconds of maximal power, this is not practical to the power needed on the field imo

  • @PowerSprinter doing this not only gives him muscle endourance but also confidence is built greatly

  • @pyxiefrog124 confidence? Um the purpose of training muscles is to preform better, not to be more confident. You will be more confident when you maximize your efforts for the purpose in which they are intended, though it is questionable if this type of endurance training is optimal for his type of needs.

  • favourite athelete in the nfl.

  • Steven jackson is a fuckin tank man, I swear sometimes when I'm watching the game it looks like the man is on D cuz he runs every1 over

  • dont hate on jackson hes a beast

  • thats less than three 45lb plates on each side.....not that hard

  • @Giduwon then do it 55 times and comeback and tell me how you do...

  • @Giduwon no better yet do 90 ill see if yuh can make it

  • @Giduwon yeah but that's still 90 reps, i could do 500 pound leg press 20 times but 90, this dude is for real.

  • Comment removed

  • @Giduwon put up a video of you doing the same thing

  • I can do 28...

  • I do that in my sleep.

  • @LambeauLeap93 90 times?, i can do 500 reps 20 times but 225 90 times is amazing. Takes a combination of leg strength and endurance.

  • what song is in this video?

  • B B B BEAST!

  • unbelievable, that are more than 100kg

i wish you the best steven whatever it is for you hopefully you will achieve it !!!
