this song was my exgirlfriend song she song to me once on the phone when we where i high schoolits be thirty years and guess what out of the blus she found me now we need to start over again but its worth it very much
@titansisaac8 Dude seriously! Beginning interlude to Drake's "Best I Ever Had" song! After the beginning . . . eh, the song doesn't seem to have any creative flow as "Best I Ever Had" does and keeps the flow of the heart of the song at best.
Another blue eyed soul classic! I was trying to find this for my son the other day because he needed to understand where the roots of today's music (and yes I meant the Drake song) came from!!
Trying like mad to find this (original) version digitally...all i can find is a re-recorded version =( Can anyone please direct me to this version?? Thx
i remember hearing this track on That 70's Show. Only it was a cover version and the lead male singer had a much deeper voice. Could anyone help me out with this?

@EbonyDee we whites created EVERYTHING of quality..including music..stop trying to take credit for everything spooks...I know you all think everyone is out to get you..Its been over 200 years since lincoln freed you..get a life and stop blaming us because you are all drug dealer losers
Love this song and what always amazed me was that it also hit #24 on the R&B chart when it really wasn't really promoted to R&B radio. This was a time when radio of all formats wasn't afraid to take a chance and play songs "outside the box". Seems like radio today just plays it safe.
What a positive, feel-good song. How can you not smile when you hear this? They just don't make em like this any more. My wife, Debbie and I both thank you for posting this.
Now that I've unloaded my concerns about iTunes, the focus turns to the song itself. Classic mid-70s tune. My sister had the 45 and my little brother always did a bunny hop to this (oh, don't ask-you'd have to see it). These guys are known as a 2 hit wonder ("Don't Pull Your Love" peaked at #4 during the summer of '71). The group name always sounded like a law firm to me. I can hear the ad now: "Yes, I'm being represented by the law offices of Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds".
Estimated friend, if you want to listen again this song and an endless number of successes of the love I suggest you to visit Radio MUSICA PARA MIMOS - looks for his direction URL in Google ( search Musica para Mimos in Google)-. best romantic music of all the times in Internet, is great, is very good ...!!!
"Fallin' in Love" was a #1 hit on the adult contemporary chart in the U.S. for one week in 1975. Released in May 1975. They don't play this music anymore. That's why I don't listen to the radio. I love the melody and the lyrics and that smooth easy rock sound.
@buechst - I totally agree with you. Unfortunately, ITunes made a deal with K-tel for a lot of their compilation CDs. K-tel is notorious for having rerecorded versions of hits in lieu of the originals. Rhino would have been far better (always the original versions). I ran into the same problem with Alan O'Day's "Undercover Angel". Scour record stores to get Rhino label compilations or get H, JF & R's greatest hits. You'll have to load the CD on your PC. Pain in the butt, I know.
msbunnypaws, if you really want to hear a great rap song that samples this, try "Room to Breathe" by Downtown Science. You will really hear how tight this instrumental is when it is tweaked by a talented hip-hop producer and a rap replaces the original vocals. Old School hip-hop at its best
Listening to the intro it's impossible to miss that Drake used this. How would anyone not get clearance on a sample this blatant? Gotta admit, Best I Ever Had is a great song, so I'm glad Drake recorded.
Graduated high school when this song was out, first job, first car, college ahead and fantastic music that summer. What memories this song brings back. Can still remember "parking" with the FM radio on, and this song was a "cant miss". Thanks for posting...
Didn't David Hasselhoff cover this song about 10 years back? I seem to recall hearing him sing this on some TV show...nowhere near as good as the original!
Love this song. And it only makes me think about the one I am falling in love with.....Not the one I was or thought I was in love with....AMAZING SONG.
To all you California Golden Bears fans and most recently Charlotte Bobcats fans (like myself): This was the #1 song in the USA when Sean Marks came into the world (August 23, 1975).

Same as everyone else- their parents probably played the oldies where ever they went.
And it's not just the "old white music"- funk, disco, and soul, mostly black dominated- played a larger part in hip hop imo.
I mean look at the Amen Break - The Winstons
Kool Herc's early stuff- James Brown samples
The opening to C.R.E.A.M- Good ol David Porter and Issac Hayes
