  • @titansisaac8 Dude seriously! Beginning interlude to Drake's "Best I Ever Had" song! After the beginning . . . eh, the song doesn't seem to have any creative flow as "Best I Ever Had" does and keeps the flow of the heart of the song at best.

  • @dlaguilera every time i hear this song now, if it plays on the radio, imma think of drake's song. My generation.

  • I wish I could go back to the 70s. Such happy years.

  • Fuck Drake

  • GREAT music ! They just don't make them like this anymore...Dan Hamilton-GREAT song writer,

  • Dear Mike,

There must be some missunderstanding from you part. At no circumstance of my comments I intended to inflame your ethnics rethoric. In fact, my words wanted to compliment you and the great job that the group have done.

I´ll keep my thoughts on the group but I´ll review my understanding on your character.

I just posted my opinion on the video´s music style. Period.

Your response to my simple lines was untimely placed, unfortunate, weak and psychically affected.

  • very sexy

  • Black music at its prime

  • @EbonyDee we whites created EVERYTHING of quality..including music..stop trying to take credit for everything spooks...I know you all think everyone is out to get you..Its been over 200 years since lincoln freed you..get a life and stop blaming us because you are all drug dealer losers

  • @mikefromAG right on dude your one of the few people on here who understand that.nigeers are violent animals

  • @mikefromAG Whoa...

  • @mikefromAG Whites didnt create EVERYTHING of qulity music you fucking dumbass.Typical honky trash

  • @1porcupinetree just like air isnt 100% oxygen either asshole

  • @huntersingle FUCK YOU...yeah some whites are cool and others suck..like you

  • i work at a grocery store and this song never gets old, even after the 1223billionth time

  • Know you got a Roomate..Call me when its no one there..Put the key under the Mat and You know i'll be over there #YEAH..Best I Ever Had

  • I see why drake sampled this...that guitar sounds tight!!

  • Love this song and what always amazed me was that it also hit #24 on the R&B chart when it really wasn't really promoted to R&B radio. This was a time when radio of all formats wasn't afraid to take a chance and play songs "outside the box". Seems like radio today just plays it safe.

  • voltei ao passado.

  • lol 0 dislikes... :)

  • 3 minutes and 6 seconds is not enough for a song so beatiful!

This song pass the test of time!

  • "play it again Sam" !!

  • Wish Jo Frank would put his song Carole on for us old delta guys to remember.

  • What a positive, feel-good song. How can you not smile when you hear this? They just don't make em like this any more. My wife, Debbie and I both thank you for posting this.

  • what key is this song in?

  • Just found out today that Drizzy sampled this! Idk how he found it, but I'm glad he did, that guitar part is smooth

  • i love 70s, magnifica cancion, buenos recuerdos

  • Drake doesn't have SHIT on this song..!!

  • @brittanyultra who's DRAKE?

  • @christheone8773, he is a Canadian rapper.

  • Now that I've unloaded my concerns about iTunes, the focus turns to the song itself. Classic mid-70s tune. My sister had the 45 and my little brother always did a bunny hop to this (oh, don't ask-you'd have to see it). These guys are known as a 2 hit wonder ("Don't Pull Your Love" peaked at #4 during the summer of '71). The group name always sounded like a law firm to me. I can hear the ad now: "Yes, I'm being represented by the law offices of Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds".

  • They hit #1 in Billboard, 8-23-75. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx! RIP, Dan Hamilton.

  • no dislike,super good song

  • idk why ppl are mad that drake sampled this song for best i ever had

like honestly, how many ppl knew that he sampled it off of this song when it first came out

    i just found out

  • @jin010342 Well I guess enough people knew that Drake ripped off the song since he's being sued for copyright infringement. LOL

  • so glad drake did this, thank you hamilton, joe frank & reynolds for taking a part in one of the greatest songs of the decade

  • "Fallin' in Love" was a #1 hit on the adult contemporary chart in the U.S. for one week in 1975. Released in May 1975. They don't play this music anymore. That's why I don't listen to the radio. I love the melody and the lyrics and that smooth easy rock sound.

  • @buechst - I totally agree with you. Unfortunately, ITunes made a deal with K-tel for a lot of their compilation CDs. K-tel is notorious for having rerecorded versions of hits in lieu of the originals. Rhino would have been far better (always the original versions). I ran into the same problem with Alan O'Day's "Undercover Angel". Scour record stores to get Rhino label compilations or get H, JF & R's greatest hits. You'll have to load the CD on your PC. Pain in the butt, I know.

  • DRAKE IS A CHIMPANZEE. He should keep his paws off this and try writing a melody for himself and see how far he gets.

  • Beautiful sound, great music for sure.

  • msbunnypaws, if you really want to hear a great rap song that samples this, try "Room to Breathe" by Downtown Science. You will really hear how tight this instrumental is when it is tweaked by a talented hip-hop producer and a rap replaces the original vocals. Old School hip-hop at its best

  • BTW, does anyone else wonder where these rappers here this old white music? Hah. I've never heard of most the songs they end up sampling.

  • @msbunnypaws

Same as everyone else- their parents probably played the oldies where ever they went.

And it's not just the "old white music"- funk, disco, and soul, mostly black dominated- played a larger part in hip hop imo.

I mean look at the Amen Break - The Winstons

Kool Herc's early stuff- James Brown samples

The opening to C.R.E.A.M- Good ol David Porter and Issac Hayes

  • Listening to the intro it's impossible to miss that Drake used this. How would anyone not get clearance on a sample this blatant? Gotta admit, Best I Ever Had is a great song, so I'm glad Drake recorded.

  • This, Jim Croce, and England Dan & John Ford Coley certainly lubircated some zippers back in those summer nights.

Hello Angie, if you're ever here. We had sky rockets but no foundation.

  • @Sargethemedic1 LMAO, I gotta go to bed on that one.

  • When in 1975 did this song chart?

  • Graduated high school when this song was out, first job, first car, college ahead and fantastic music that summer. What memories this song brings back. Can still remember "parking" with the FM radio on, and this song was a "cant miss". Thanks for posting...

  • This song always makes me want to make love to my husband.

  • Didn't David Hasselhoff cover this song about 10 years back? I seem to recall hearing him sing this on some TV show...nowhere near as good as the original!

  • dedicated to Maria Elena Carrillo whom I had a crush on....... class of 77 Seward School CHGO RG

  • Love this song! I wore my flintstones record player with this song...Thanks for posting :-)...

  • Porfin encontre esta cancion aaaa XD no sabes cuanto me gusta gracias por subirla. :)

  • Love this song. And it only makes me think about the one I am falling in love with.....Not the one I was or thought I was in love with....AMAZING SONG.

  • This song is so soulful. I love it.

  • At age 53 Now. Every time I here this song, make me feel like a kid again. Beautiful music "Top Quality" !

  • @lsmith9857 Class of '75, huh?

  • brings me back to the best

  • I'm faw-win love again.

  • @Videordinarylife yes, I noticed that too.

  • This song was reminds me of the love of my life

  • To all you California Golden Bears fans and most recently Charlotte Bobcats fans (like myself): This was the #1 song in the USA when Sean Marks came into the world (August 23, 1975).

  • Lol They actually sued Drake for using that sample in his song. He used it without permission.

  • Brilliant

  • this is where drake samples his best i ever had

  • LOVE THIS SONG

  • I LIKE THIS SONG

  • A Good Song!!!!

  • I am trying to find the original recording of the Hamilton Joe Frank and Reynolds song - all they have on Itunes or Amazon are crappy counterfeit rerecorded versions. Maybe other people can't tell the difference, but I can. This one on Utube is the real original...how can I get an MP3 of this?

  • Comment removed

  • @buechst wow i tried to put a link to the site where you can convert this URL into an mp3 file...they won't allow me to type it...sweet. google "media converter" its a .org site

  • @Damionz30 that drake loser. and so or you . you wouldnt know good music if it jump up and kick you in the face. you wasnt gleam. in your father eyes when that song came out . so what do you know . so shut the hell up,

  • this sounds so much than Drake's- the best I ever had. literally!!!

  • Billboard's #44 song for '75. Actually, it was done by Hamilton, Joe Frank, and Alan Dennison. Hit #1 pop, and AC in Billboard. God bless! RIP, Dan Hamilton.

  • @DaveWollenberg Reynolds had left the group, but they didn't want to do a name change, so Dennison became Reynolds, kinda.

  • lol drake copied a small part of this song

  • yessssssssssss......

  • This song brings back soooo many good memories of when life was so much fun and when we were worry free... I love, love. love. this song!!!

  • how in the world did drake ever think to sample this??!!

  • It sounds a bit like Best I Ever Had - Drake

  • @kamayoufabrice Thats cause Boi-1da used this sample and sent the beat to drake but playboy magazine is sueing drake and cash money records cause they own the copyrights for this song

  • @kamayoufabrice Dan Hamilton (RIP) wrote Best I Ever Had. That song just won a BMI award and Drake is being sued for copyright infringement. Artists have to respect other artists and Dan Hamilton has a family.

  • @smarteepants41859 wow. Why do people think they can get away with stuff like that.Give credit where it's due. Not that hard.

  • BOI 1DA is a beast for samplin this, Drake be thankful!!

  • @aw100626 Right boi 1da did his lil thang to this jawn foreal..

  • Best I ever heard!!

  • Very fine song, great memories. Many thanks P143.

  • Ahhhh, a favorite since college in '75, and far beyond; played it over and over.

In a car. In a shower. doesn't matter; it's always right on time.

  • I wish they still put songs together like this

  • Pure AM Gold...nothing like it before or since.

  • Love early 70s soft rock hits like this. It's what made 70s FM radio so special.

  • @auroralights100 Hip Hop has to thank Rock for making Hip Hop what it is now.

  • @auroralights100 I much prefer the days when FM played underground , classical , jazz and long-play rock ; not the same old "simulcast" crap that's been on KLOS , et al. , forever now ...
