Thank you for this great review sir. I was looking for a good portable player other than Apple's iPod Touch. I'm a bit disappointed on the equalizer though. It would be great if the equalizer can be controlled manually. Either way,from my point of view, it's better than iPod Touch. Not only it has a bigger display it also have an expandable storage(which is very awesome). Totally gonna buy this one over an iPod Touch. Thanks again for this wonderful review sir. It really help me a lot.

@LGDE88: Glad you liked the Review. $175 is one of the best prices I have herd for it. If you want to get the most out of your device you should think about Rooting it. I am going to do a series on Rooting and custom roms this month. You should check it out.

I got one recently, but mine is a bit different. It says "Galaxy S wifi 4.0" on the back, the home button is an actual physical button and doesn't light up and the device came with Froyo :/

Thanks for the in depth review, good job!! I too have this device and I'm loving it. One tip about the equalizer, if you go to the e.q. settings and tap the user 1, or user 2 tabs, there is a 7 band e.q. that you can set to your liking. Personally, I downloaded the PowerAmp app from the market, it's a beast!! Thanks again, and enjoy your player!

@Fiorinihc: Yes Wifi is required for the GPS to work. I would not suggest using this device as a stand alone for GPS. If your dad needs GPS for his work, he would be better off buying a GPS device, they don't need internet or wifi for them to work.

@Fiorinihc he doesnt know what hes talking about. tHE APP GOGLE MAPS USES WIFI. BUT there are 100's turn by turn gps apps in the android market (sygic: gps navigation, telenav gps navigator, and garmin navigator) to list a few... they work entirely without wifi.
