So many lies! Vote Yes on issue 2! I believe nurses are paid just like doctors. It's called HEALTH CARE! They are not paid by tax payers, such as, teachers, firefighters and officers!
As a nurse, I will be voting YES on Issue 2. The majority of us do NOT work for the government, but for private entities - hospitals, nursing homes, doctors offices, clinics, etc. We pay enough in taxes while the Teachers, Firefighters, Police, and other "public servants" get rich off our backs. All the while the quality of their service declines. If your heart ain't in it, then it's time to get out! OUR compensation has been cut, yet the quality continues to improve, welcome to the real world!
Nurses wont be affected by Issue 2 one way or the other. Nurse staffing in all Ohio healthcare facilities is governed by a 2008 bill passed and signed into law by then Gov. Ted Strickland HB 346. Google it and read it for yourselves. This ad is an out and out lie
Since when were nurses public workers? All the hospitals I know of are privately operated and collective bargaining in the private sector is in no way affected by the passage or retention of SB 5. This clip is union propaganda at its worst.
YES on issue 2. This ad lies by omission. It fails to mention that the majority of nurses in Ohio are employed by private hospitals which determine staffing levels. This means those nurses are not public employees, and the law does not affect them.
How hard up do you have to be to make something that is so deceitful?
@gumako This is just more proof that unions are using the same playbook they have for decades hoping that they can prey on those who do not educate themselves about the issues they vote on. Now that more people are becoming more educated, more informed, and more engaged in where their bloated property taxes are going the unions can only grab at straws as we the people remove them from the negotiating table and put ourselves back in the seat they've hijacked for decades.
@baritonebynight The vast majority, if not all, nurses aren't public workers so these nurses would not be affected by a YES vote on Issue 2. If state and local governments could remove union corruption from the employment process, there would be more teachers, officers, and firefighters which would reduce class size, reduce crime, and reduce response time respectively. The fact remains that state and local governments can no longer afford the lucrative compensation unheard of in private sector
@madhatter0110 "...lucrative compensation UNHEARD of in the private sector"? A goal I would suggest for you, prior to voting, is to educate yourself on these professions, their responsibilities to the general public, their workloads now, their compensation/benefits, & consessions they have made over the years while educating, providing educational supportive services, protecting/saving you & your family & friends' lives, & ensuring communities are safe from encarcerated criminals, etc.
@staceybrackett1 Their responsibilities and workloads are LESS than the same jobs in the private sector yet their compensation is MORE...MUCH MORE. While the rest of us have either seen wage freezes, wage cuts, reduced benefits, layoffs, or any combination of these unionized public employees have never had it better with double digit percentage raises, zero contribution health benefits and pensions, and for some double dipping. The taxpayers demand to have a seat at the negotiating table!!
@staceybrackett1 lol "ensuring communities are safe from encarcerated criminals". But aren't we safe from them since they're "encarcerated?" BTW it's spelled INcarcerated. Based on this, I'd say public education like other public services are doing a GREAT job lmao. Thank god that pubic skewl teechur learned me to read, and all them prison gards keeps the criminuls off of da streetz, them iron bars and razor wire shure don't kut it!
@jedmondson67 * I made a simple mistake, while commenting on people like you. But thanks for trying to tear me apart for a simple mistake. I attended private schools, so goes to show how your ability of knowing so much more than anyone else is crap! UR the type of person that spends lots of time alone. And no, dipshit...just because someone is incarcerated DOES NOT MEAN the communities & public are safe from them escaping, etc. U R just a Trolling YouTube bully, aren't you?!?
@staceybrackett1 Well I hope to god you're not a nurse, because a "simple mistake" like the comments you made could mean the difference between life and death.

@libertywriters No on issue 2. You better never hope you need a nurse, police officer, teacher or firefigher if issue 2 passes.
