Through the Kurdish involvement in the Iraqi War, the Medes have stepped out of history and onto the world stage once again, and another player in the End Times Scenario is taking its place. One day soon, the King of the Medes will again lead a vast army against Babylon, and this time her destruction will be complete, and the Lord’s words will be fulfilled.
@MEDES77 Let's not forget the Iraqi president Saddam Huissan and his genocide of the Kurds during his tyrannical reign. They suffered horribly. Would we not want autonomy also? Remeber 1776? The Revolutionary War against Great Britian because of oppresive taxation and heavy handed rule?
Second, we see the descendants of the ancient Medes coming back onto the world stage to fulfill the prophetic destiny that Isaiah and Jeremiah foretold for them. This tells us that the Kurds are not going to go away, but in fact will become a stronger force to be reckoned with in the Middle East.
See, I will stir up against them the Medes, who do not care for silver and have no delight in gold. Their bows will strike down the young men; they will have no mercy on infants nor will they look with compassion on children. Babylon, the jewel of kingdoms, the glory of the Babylonians’ pride, will be overthrown by God like Sodom and Gomorrah. She will never be inhabited or lived in through all generations; no Arab Turk, will pitch his tent there, no shepherd will rest his flocks there.
