ATC doesn't make a call on the equipment. Harddrinking, fast living group of people.....are you serious!? He should be sued for slander!
I bet he'd love to head a project like privatization. The antiquated equipment helps us maintain high salaries and "good jobs",so better equipment would leave us with bad jobs and lower salaries? Talk about the FAA spending 5 million on a party and how they saved money like that to waste by freezing controller pay and cutting it by over 30% for new hires.

George Donahue is a hack. He's apparently the only guy that Fox could find that would both slam the FAA for the party while also pushing the pro-private-corporation, pro-profit agenda of the radical right wing.
His book sucks (yes, I've read it- a couple of time). It misleads and misstates many of the issues facing the FAA, and pushes a private, technological fix which won't work for a problem that's overstated and overblown.
Fox got beat to this news story. Instead, they run this crap.

This author completely mis-spoke about this topic. ALL of the people at this meeting, were MANAGERS, not Air Traffic Controllers. Additionally, controllers don't buy the ATC equipment, so it is completely dis-ingenuous to blame controllers for antiquated ATC equipment. He's just schlepping to sell his new earth-shatttering book....Please....

All private sector profit making companies across the USA are hit with TAXES, all sectors are cutting back on payroll & job hiring- the only portion of the USA not taking steps to cut back are all Government & federal organizations which rely on TAX money to continue to operate -
It is time for the citizens who pay taxes to insist all Government operations reduce in size by 10 per cent
