If I asked any of my colleagues if they knew Mudkip, they wouldn't know. We know what the pokemon games entail. We all played them when we were younger so we know a few of the original Pokemon, Pikachu, Charizard etc. but we don't know the newer ones, such as Mudkip, which is probably the case here.
