hey nice video, i have a old cj 5 behind my garadge. well its actualy my dads but he used to use it to plow but when he got his truck about seven years ago the jeep just sat there and never got started or anything and now we want to fix it up but we just dont have the room cuz our garadge is full of all our other "toys" if you know what i mean!!! but we hope to somday fix it up and make it street leagle but also a off road machine!!!!! It has a strait six in it, what does this one have????

well the cj5 is shorter. and theres 2 styles of cj5, in 73 AMC made it a bit longer and wider to fit their v8 into it. the one here is the older style.

Daaaveed- the fastest way to tell a CJ5 from a CJ7 is the shape of the doors. The CJ7's Door has the shape of a "U". The CJ5's door on the trailing end is sloped towards the rear of the jeep.

Im not sure what the window is from it was on the jeep when I bought it. It is an old style cuz the newer windows are tapered in at the top. On the buick v6 i had headers, small cherry bombs and tail pipes

i used to offroad harder than that back when my '65 cj5 had the original F-head engine, until the camshaft snapped on the highway. now its got a ford 2.3 turbo

Nah i am with this guy. I doubt that is the v6. I have the inline 6 in my CJ7 with a cut off flowmaster 40 and i cant get it to sound half that loud and mean. Its either the 304 or some other v8 transplant. and i doubt its a buick haha.

They're not that hard to restore. When I found mine it was in the worst shape you could imagine. Well over 300,000 miles were on the motor. Rust from hell ate the old tub that I replaced with fiberglass. Four years of work I did myself it ran like new again, and still does. If I were any of you I'd get one soon, they are starting to become rare, as many people aren't willing to sell one. I'll never part with mine until the day I die!
