So, I just lvled a hunter to 85 for the first time this week and I just solo tamed this beast this morning in 2 attempts.. Pretty easy if you have 5 other pets you can send in to eat the Deth Strikes.
I just abandon the first 4 then keep reviving the last one until Deth’Tilac gets low in heath then abandon the last one and tame away.. Shame Deth’Tilac caught me off guard, I was carrying my Terrorpene with me and had to abandon him to get the tame.. Quicker than reviving one pet but not by much.

Pretty sure they call these pets "challenges" for a reason. Requiring the assistance of other people takes away said challenge. But I guess when you sound like a faggot on vent, then anything goes.

THIS WILL FREEZE HIM IN PLACE AND THE DK CAN USE IT 4x :) caps to try to make sure you see this! this makes the tame easy also it is nice if he pops army of the dead cause then deth tilac will kill all of em! dropping him like a rock so you dont havta wait! :D
part 2. make sure if he closes in on you that you use deterrence to avoid him, ps Its really good to specc so that your deterrence boosts your speed for 4seconds for maximal effect. don't forget to use concussive shot together with the ice trap and snake trap slows. gl ;) oh PS once he's on 20% or less abandon your spider so that you can tame him right away

Also to snare him with ice trap and snake trap you need entrapment in survival second tier talent. When you res your pet be sure to use a snake trap since he's snared and can't move he will attack the snaked buying time.
i solo tamed him. it is quite easy. just get your pet out and send it in to attack. when he deth strikes he loses i think it is 15 percent health or something like that. slow him down as much as possible and quickly res the pet. make the pet die again and repeat until you are eligible to tame him. goof luck everyone.
I keep trying to solo her and omg it's tough. Finally got her by using a worm pet (so it could burrow underground during Death Strike), using scatter shot and deterrence and then setting down snake and ice traps to slow her down and/or need to rez my pet. They made taming her obnoxiously tough. lol

Tamed this Spider today on Darkspear realm! I had to other guildies with me and he could only be tamed when he was at 10% health. Very hard to tame, he almost one hits you if he get's close enough to Death Strike you. Happy Hunting :D
you know that iuf he deth strikes some1...his health is reduced by 10 or 20% per kill right...thats why its a great hunt challenge...bcuz you send your pet in...he kills it and BAM you can tame it fasters then how ou guys did this..
I found the easiest way to tame this guy was to use another spider pet for the web, send him in so that he uses his death strike ability, use frost trap and concussive shot and get a druid so you can root him as well, with all the slowing abilities on him you have time to ress your pet and send him again so that death strike can be used again, taking into knowledge that death strike takes a big amount of hp from him. Obv once his buff has dropped you wanna be far away so that you can tame him GL

@Xzenock0343 Ofc it is. Liten Dethtilac has roughly 80-90mil hp and he is loosing hp by sacrificing others. So what you have to do is to have your pet up all the time and Bestial Lore enabled (pet taunt). Every time ur pet pull agro Dethtilac uses Deth Strike and kills your pet. By using Deth Strike and killing ur pet he loses 10% of his hp. That means you have to res ur pet roughly 6-7 times. Frost trap-> Concusive shot-> res pet. Rinse and repeat and he is down. I`ve tamed him 5 times alrdy.
I solo tamed myself and it took me around 10 mins, what where you doing? If you use your pet it's quicker just keep rez up on pet as you obviously do more damage that way with the pet active. Concussion shot, ice trap, kite, kite, kite..rinse and repeat :P

@BartsOwner That means that these guys had major fail! This spider can be tamed in 2-3 mins by ressing pet all the time and having bestial lore up. Every time boss kills ur pet he loose like 10% of his hp (or less i am not sure) that means with 5-6 resses he is ready to be tamed. Frost trap->Concusive shot-> res pet rinse and repeat and spider is gone. So instead of having 3 ppl nuking it you only need PET ! I am playing rarely btw but whenever i play i am 100% sure what and how to do ;)
Easier to solo tame tbh, just make sure to rez pet and keep pet on passive, concussion shot, ice trap and kite away until he gets below 20% health. If you don't rez and use pet this will take forever to tame. And make sure you dismiss pet to b4 tame :P preditorr quel thalas EU
This is not wrong, but not completely correct either. Easy to solo, concussive shot, snake trap and constant pet sacrifices to Deth Strike which with each of those his health drops 20%. When you can finally tame him, snake trap and concussive shot then tame
i just found this guy and helped a hunter try to get him. we got to the point when there was 4 seconds left on the tame beast when some asshole came along and killed it.
The best way to tame this solo is to let ur pet to die every time,it means u should keep reviving pet whenever you have chance, tbh i figured that by my self after failing 2 times, and the reason is ( Deth'Tilac ) minus 10% HP every time ur pet dies or any 1 of party members which makes it faster taming. wish this helps u guys and GL :)
Youre ment to use slow traps and snakes to keep distance, and keep sending in your pet to take away 10% of his health. Obviously keep ressurecting your pet when your distant and after you've sent your pet in 8 times (he will be below 20%) You can tame him. Hes a very easy tame dispite what most people say
I solo tamde it to 50% then an ally hunter jumped in and helped me finish off the dps enoguh to tame him :) i used my pet as a constant sacrifice to eat away at his health
