  • you never really see a killer whale die

  • I don't see any orcas.

  • hi

  • hagfish and sleeper sharks...

  • Oh know! The killer whales ate the sun and now were all going to die so 2012 is really going to happen.

  • spelled son wrong

  • @00000guitar00000 its called a calf anyways

  • Why do they do this? Eating their prey, I presume? Or some other competitive reason.

  • The slang term is killer whale (actually it whale killer), their actual name is ORCA!

Unlike humans other species kill for survival unlike humans that kill in the name of SPORTS!

It may be very difficult to watch a baby being killed to ensure the survival of another species, but it is the natural of survival!

Humans sit and ambush their victims, than spend a ton of money having it's head mounted on a wall then sit around drinking beer bragging about what a thrill it was to killed!

  • @scorpionkings One word; conservation.

  • @svengard Conservation? OHHH you mean human exploitation of animals in order to make a financial profit!

  • @scorpionkings

Yer, but they do stuff wit the carcass

  • @TreehuggerSnr Oh, well that makes all the difference in the world!

  • @scorpionkings

    Indeed it does

  • you spelt son wrong quote: Killer whales Eat sun of grey whale (6 hrs fighting)

  • @mungie1999 no its son not sun you tit

  • @mungie1999 u trollin or ur just dumb?

  • son

  • hag fish? those worms at the bottom, how do u spell it? LOL

  • Well in the dark, there see another body of a great whale, which is an ADULT. Could that be mom whose calf was killed?

  • both of these animals are so cool.

  • You know its sad, but that calf will feed a host of other organisms. The mother will go on and she will be impregnated again, and maybe that calf will go on to birth its own calves. I hate that the killers were so wasteful, but it helped to feed others farther down below.

  • I doubt they would be able to film this as a time lapse very easily, because of the huge pressures involved they couldn't set up a static camera and the cost of hiring a deep sea submersible would be prohibitively expensive for repeat dives. Would have looked pretty cool if they could have done though!

  • They should have shown a full time lapse of the feeding; if the other vid in which a simple fish attracted isopods, various crabs, eels, and tons of other organisms and was completely devoured within 2 hours, imagine what THIS would have looked like...

  • brutal

  • Poor mummy :'( and baby
