@Valladega modern engineering has done nothing for power. Do you live under a rock. An average small block engine from the late 60's early 70's put down on average 245-260 hp. The new challenger with the 3.6l 6 cylinder has over 300 hp. The new challenger puts down around 450 hp were as the old 426 hemi could barely put down 350 hp. Modern engineering has done many things for power. It makes more power and puts it all down to the rear wheels.

@redneck9507 Yeah but you also have to take into consideration when the small blocks of the late 70's and early 70's were making 250 hp they had no emissions crap, were getting 6 mpg and were running on leaded fuel. Look at the 80's when cars were getting 150 hp, its just now were able to make serious power using modern tech to get the power ratings we do today while being fuel efficient (fairly) and better on the enviroment. In 30 years they will be laughing at our cars of today

if you get a 2010 dodge chanllenger tuned to da max it will only make around 700hp but if you get a 1970 dodge chanlenger and tune that up to da max it will make around 1000hp or even more newer muscles have lost their muscle

Their newest performance package is the Challenger 392, which is a Hemi 392 (6.4 liters). And in a Ford Fiesta? Not even, the car has to have enough power to push thru the rear brakes, and a Festiva barely has enough power to move out of its own way.
