If you want to make dubstep like skrillex, you should throw all your musical instruments in the charity bin and move to a country with no electricity.
@000Z9A hahaha, dubstep is really "two step." If you actually cared about making dubstep you would know by now that it is not just that wobbly bass that makes dubstep; it's the time signature. the classic wobbly bass sound you want so bad is more suited to what i call "club step" check out BURIAL and you will hear real deal dubstep.
@branasaur the wobble bass just makes people go crazy in a club. but there is still a style of music called dubstep or two step, which isn't characterized by the wobble bass
but I reckon that this is a tiny lil beast, for those willing to buy and discover it! unfortunately its sounds are nothing like what I need no take my project onto a live scenario!
@beyondrupture Apparently the OP-1 is an acquired taste. People who have it love it while others, for some reason, get provoked by it. It's absolutely got its own specific sound, and I guess it doesn't fit your needs.
hmm...I've heard similar sounding tracks made with free synths on iphone/itouch. It's a solid track you made bud, but let's be honest that thing is just not worth the $800 price tag...I paid that much for my Juni Gi...
I find it hard to compare the OP-1 to any other synthesizer. It is totally different from anything else I've ever tried. If you want "normal" sounds (Jupiters, Mono/Poly, Prophet etc.) this synth is the wrong way to go. However, if you're looking for a creative tool that is inspiring and intuitive, and most importantly, doesn't sound like anything else... It's awesome!

can you connect this to a midi keyboard? So you can use the midi keyboard instead of the tiny keyboard on the OP-1?

@alexanderbergstrom oh, you got me wrong. I love the thing, it's just a case of not fitting at all with my needs. I have a metal band :)

$800 is a lot of money, though.

@moose311 I had to divide the recording into three or four different parts , which I recorded in Logic, but yeah I used the tape a lot. :)
