  • Prefuse 73 poster in the background. Nice.

  • can you may tell me if a simple program as garageband or something can work with a cheap usb keyboard or a tab board

  • Where was the desk from and how much was it?

  • thanks for helping bruh

  • where did you get that pc stand? :D

  • yo check out my set up bruh

  • dude, it's all good but why are you so low in charisma?

this is suppose to be energatic and electric and you make it sound as if it's the most boring thing in the freaking milky way!

Nice HS (Home Studio) by the way...

  • WHY SHOULD I BUY AN AUDIO INTERFACE IF I BUY A MIXER?

I HAVE A MAC. ALL I NEED IS A MIXER RIGHT?

  • @Bak3dB3an You should check out my video called "Home recording Studio - Do you NEED a mixer? "

  • @Bak3dB3an unless the mixer has a firewire or usb output, i would go with the interface as if will give you much better sound quality. you can run the mixer's output right into your mac's input but your incoming signal will be noisier and the issue of gain vs. clipping.

  • Thanks for the video.

  • AMAZING set up you have! You should make videos more often

  • What remix of one in ten is that a the beginning??

  • Who cares if the guy has a stoner voice-tone? He's humble and elaborate, and has the Orchestra of Bubbles artwork on his wall.

  • your room looks like it could do with some acoustic treatment dude -big shiny whiteboard behind monitors aint a good idea

  • DGK stickers everywhere, but I don't get it...

    You don't look dirty.

    You don't look ghetto.

You don't look like a kid.

What makes you think that you deserve to wear Dirty Ghetto Kids (DGK)?

  • Hes verry enthusuastic llol

  • @TheChris0627 LoL

  • I get it! you are acting like it's halloween , but damnit..i cant figure out what you are dressed up like!

  • wtf

  • nice vid bro

  • What's the beat that is playing at the beginning?

  • which are better for home studio, active or passive studio monitors? Is passive monitors more useful because you have to have mixer amp with them? And why somebody is getting passive instead of active and vice versa?

  • @0sk4ri hi Active speakers are speakers that have an amp inside them so they are heavy(also the amp inside the speaker will be paired with the speaker for maximum clarity) most studio monitor speakers are also shealded (meaning you can put them near computer monitor without the magnets in speaker making pc monitor go weird , if someone wanted passive speakers they must already have a nice amp that they use, hope this helps

  • @Radiolobe Okay, thanks :)

  • @Radiolobe in a general way...no. its oftenly seen as that but what u mean is actually "selfpowered" speakers. "active" refers to a frequency-splitter. A normal speaker is passive, so it does the splitting by itself (the sub only plays lows frequencies and the tops only mid and high, so they dont overextend their own capabilities). An Active Box therefore is a box you have to send an already split signal into in order to make it function right.

Its important to not confuse this ;)

  • @Versus61 elaborate on this some more, this is what I read about as well, I just thought having the amp inside the speaker automatically made is 'active' soo what is all this frequency splitting?

  • @AeonFlexMusic As I said, an "Active Box" is different than a "selfpowered" box (which has an amp in it).

A Speaker can only play a certain frequency range. Tops do usually not go anywhere under 100Hz, so if you give them a Signal with Bass below 100Hz (60Hz or Subbass with 40Hz) it will automatically not play this frequencies cause it knows it cant. An Active Speaker tho thinks he only gets the high frenquencies, plays all, and breaks. the user has to differentiate for the speaker. clear? xD

  • hey people i need your help, I'm confusing on which one is best M audio or Komplete audio 6? i will record guitar and bass

  • Damm Son wuss the name of the song . Or beat . at the bigginingg?

  • thanx man, cool stuff.. im gonna try and build my own too... but is it necessary to have an analog mixer?

  • hey may i ask what you call the thing your laptop is resting on? and ur sound card is underneath ? if any1 could help that would be great, and where can it be bought

  • You my friend have a super clean and well organized little set-up here! It is absolutely perfect, very modern and 100% efficient in addition to being very comfortable even just to look on my end from a viewers standing point. Thank you for sharing with all of us. You have just given me an entire "plan" so to speak of designing my very own Home Studio =) Thank You!

  • who cares about his friggin voice! I don't hear any vocals on his music. This video helped me out a lot. He seems to know his stuff.

  • smart; table on the table

  • Yer dude thanks for the video . But dude I was getting bored of your voice droning on had tobturn it off,

  • Mate this is a sweet set up! I'm sure your a great producer but you'd defo be the last person I would call to go for a beer with as you would probably bore me into a coma lol ;)

  • Nice setup and yes you can work on a budget and come out with a professional sound. It's all about knowing how to mix and master your stuff. It takes times, but when you love what you do you will enjoy the learning process.

  • nice beat

  • @theguitarbeast14 Native instrument Audio 8

  • Please answer!!! I couldn't really hear what input/output box that was called could you tell me. Anyone??

  • Was that ub40 in the background at the beginning of the video? been searching for that tune for a while.

  • could you tell me the exact name and brand of your desk?

  • You get a lot of questions hey. I have for you too. I want to set myself up with a real similar studio set up you have here. So far I have only 1 studio monitor, and two analogue synthesizers. I'll have to get a MIDI audio interface of course.

What confuses me is what my monitors should be connected to? Are they connected to my laptop? Or my synths? Or both?

  • YOU SOUND INCREDIBLY BORED.....OR STONED...I HOPE THE LATTER......NICE STUDIO.....DO YOU USE THE TURNTABLES FOR SCRATCHING?

  • i need help! i want to make a home recording studio but i dont have any kinds of equipment the only things i have is the fl studios demo, virtual dj, and a casio keyboard i am thinking about buy a laptop just for music use only but i honestly dont know about which programs to use what midi does all the connections and if the laptop has an impact i have a budget of about $1500 but i plan on leavin to college in about 2 years so im saving my money as much as possible can some1 guide me abit?

  • how much did you put into it?

  • im goin to fall to sleep

  • haha fail pc laptop mac keyboard

  • @BeastItAllOut ...what are you talking about , its a macbook but in black color

  • he looks like a manga figure....

  • Sick set up where you get the desk from man

  • You're fucking high!

  • Is this Guy high?? thumbs up if he is when he did this vid

  • @Kylemad01 i think so, what a pothead haha :D

  • These studios are missing Vibe... for example...

If you'd like to see a WHOLE House studio CRAMMED into a single SMALL bedroom, checkout my "Bedroom Studios" i swear you'll laugh and wonder what i was on when i built it!

  • Thanks - very nice (and clean) setup.

  • Thank you, very informative and helpful.

  • i look up to you man . this is the best studio ever !!

  • Dude I dunno why people are having a go at you I think your awesome and u explain it really well but I have a question

If you have powered speakers why do u have what looks like an amp ?

And I need some powered speakers and would just get rid of amp - what are u using yours for ?

    Thanks Dan

  • what was he's talking about.? man can't understand' please open ur mouth wide if u talk! look gay that can't wait to show it ryt away!

  • whats with the crap comments on this guys looks and orientation. its a good vid and some idiots on here i think are jealous as they dont have his knowledge. just grow up.

  • @who8allthepies no not really... this guy doesnt know what hes talking about...

  • you look gay and your monotone

  • @TreyarchIsGay Dick.

  • @TreyarchIsGay fuck off cod playing trolling fuck, get a life.

  • @billionaireboys11 are you retarded? you just called me cod playing and then you told ME to get a life... thats a little backwards to accuse someone you have never met, seen or heard in your entire life someone who plays a video game and to tell them to get a life.. Next time, think before you put something in a comment that fucking ignorant...

  • What's with the odd beard?

  • wouldn't laptops have serious latency problems?

  • @savagenoble7 Not really,it would depend on the hardware in the lap top..

  • @savagenoble7 no as your not using the sound built in the laptop. you use a audio interface as he has shown and go though that via usb or firewire with the monitors coming out of the audio interface. good laptop specs min would be 2 gig dual core 2 gig ram and 7200 rpm hard drive . better spec is 2.5 gig dual core i3 or i5 4 to 6 gig ram and 7200 rpm HD.

  • are u high?

  • best basics video ive seen so far

  • i have this drum Machine, but i did not like these pads, they are harder to press...

  • @acydocom naa and no one is replyng back wtf. its an awsome song, if u do find it plz let me know and il search and let u know also

  • PREFUSE 73!

  • Soo much cables...

  • Nice setup I hope I purchased the right gear. I set mine up before hearing you

  • Nice dud! I'm just starting check mine out and tell me what I need to do please.

  • nice setup :) right speaker might be better off out of that corner though as bass builds up in corners. i.E. if you put on some music with heavy bass and go into the corners then you will see what i mean. place monitors symmetrical in relation to the room otherwise one speaker will sound different. equilateral triangle for listening position. ears are in height of the middle piece between speaker and tweeter. sorry for being a clevers%&t. hope you make some cool stuff with your equipment. bye!

  • ... nice rig ... you are right that you don't need to spend that much anymore. You're advanced enough where you might dig some of our free clips where we got to interview one of the best room designers in the world ... check it out and let me know what you think! our channel is secretpros ...

    Cheers! =)

  • if the white board on the wall was a computer screen it 'll be f*ckin awsome :P :P

  • Dutty

    Ghetto

    Kids

  • im thinking of doing this but using an mac

  • @xLukeoo Why a mac?Do you use a OSx based comp now?

Mac truely isnt any better than a PC,only thing better is the OS and you can install OS X on a PC now adays and save thousands doing so over buying an actuall Mac..

All you need to install OS X on a PC is a EFI-X module which you can get through New Egg

  • @xLukeoo he is using a mac

  • Where did u get the desk from ?

  • That white board vibrates.. Not good for recording studio. Unless you want that as your effects.. :)

  • thank you! this was very helpful. fuck the haters

  • Your right (that is, the one your right hand points at when you're sitting in front of them) monitor is placed EXTREMELY bad.

    Think about why is that...

  • I would like to create my music at home and record my vocals at a professional studio, where I would bring my already-created instrumentals on a USB key and record my vocals over them. Do I need anything more than a good laptop, a good midi keyboard, and good speakers in order to create just the music at home? (not to record)

  • @LeonardoNasir Hey man, if you're wanting to bring home your studio projects, all you need is an interface (even if you're not recording), the exact same software used at the studio running on your computer, and some speakers, and the keyboard is optional but is really useful. Basically the interface is for getting a good quality sound output from your laptop, and so you connect proper speakers or monitors. If you want some extra detail/info message me. Hope this helped.

  • @LeonardoNasir

A pad controller is a good invesment. but really thats all you need. if you want good mixing treat your room with auralex.

  • he's sleeping :D

  • Nice Video

  • whats the first song?!

  • se estrello de cabeza contra un camión y seguidamente se puso esa venda por eso se le quedo esos pelos y esa venda incrustada para toda la eternidad

  • did u made all those songs?

  • You aren't really a "headband/bandana" type of person. PS... Take a nap, you look beat!

  • MAC IS WAY BETTER THAN PC!!

  • great video;)

could u tell me what wallpaper u have?..really like it

  • im sorry but You dont have good monitor placement,

right next to the wall corners? please...

  • @asjoo ports fire out the front on the rokits dont they?

  • the speakers are far to close to the wall this will cause insane build up off bass u really should invest in acoustic treatment

  • this guys clever, he uses logic

  • @jmzhorne I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE!!!!

  • @jmzhorne nope ableton look at the icons and the manual...

  • Comment removed

  • what brand and model no of ur woofer r u using in this vdo

  • I like your workspace. It's clean and simple

  • Great, that was cool, a little slow but really thanks for the help...

  • whered u get the desk..??

  • What mixer are you using?

  • how much did all this cost?

  • @forkane69 probably about 1200 dollars

  • @bluejaybaseballfan bro his laptop with software probably costed

$1,200... he has a lot more money than that in his setup

  • @wolfec yeah your probably right i thought he was just talking the hardware and already having the laptop with software

  • what is that mixer that is elevated next to the laptop. I want to get it, but dont know what its called!

  • @jackmulop Something like a Behringer 1002FX I think

  • i didnt know kurt cobain was on youtube...

  • @GuitarSK8boarding been reading over your comments about what to get for setting up a studio or whatever, great help, thanks man. :)

  • i like the video but please cut your hairs :P

  • Ub 40 1in 10 remix .. sounds great

  • you neeed a sound card but you can use the one in your computer,it just might suck for monitering

  • @cruzdrum It will suck for inputs and outputs (monitoring), which is what a soundcard does, so its basically stupid to record all that stuff and then throw it all away because its cheap quality.

  • wonder what that picture says

  • what is the make of the desk you have there? odd question, I know, but I'm building my own studio, and I like that platform..

  • i think he smoked some weed

  • Excellent upload,

  • LOOKS GOOD

  • cut your nails dawg

  • nice video dude thanks, whats the music at 44? (: !??

  • @kingdragon702 No problem man, any time.

  • Hi I'm new at this and want sum basic kit to mess with wat do you recomend ??

  • Look up Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi 5.1 That's what I have, and it hasn't failed me yet. I would probably trust any of Creative's cards, as I have more of an entry level USB card, and it works wonders for me. Best $50 ever spent!

  • So, if i plug my desktop Audio out into a Sound card and the soundcard outputs into Krk's and a Sub this would work?

Or just plug them all into a Separate Mixer and connect the Computer Audio out into the Mixers input?

    Thanks.

  • @MrL0vableM0nster either one

  • @MrBrandonPeoples Thank you :)

  • What's the black "reciever" thingy under the soundcard? :p

  • another background music abuse. do you think it's cool? it's not. just amateurish. learn from the top pros.

  • @bjarnyg whats happenin...It's me Bill Lumberg...yeaaahhhhhh...we're gonna need you to go ahead & uh...shut the fuck up...yeahhhh ,that would be great

  • Whats the tune playing

  • What's up with the Hair Band? XD Just joking Dude!
