I didn't know this song until last Friday, at my Grandpas funeral. My Uncle played a piano medley of songs for my Grandpa. He was my best friend. He taught me everything that I know about horses and riding. I don't even know what to say right now, listening to this song, thinking about the amazing memories with him.
Great record! I wonder if, when this came out, people though of this as pure country, or as rock-a-billy. I reminds me of "It's all over now." by the Rolling Stones.
ooooh, wo bleib i ?

I remember this song playing on my car radio in 1960. Loved it than and still do. Cruising Walnut Creek, Ca. in my '54 Mercury.
Awesome times! Thanks for posting rudje30.

The original country dance music. ;) I just want to shake it! And yet the lyrics are so aching. <3 Don Gibson!
