I know my UK Hip Hop through and through my friend, and a lot of it isnt seen as it never reaches mainstream. As for American Hip Hop, I know some, but there only the commercial wank unfortunately (Although, granted some are still good).
You got artists like Sway, who is just about mainstream with lyrics like: "I rap more than Santa Claus on Christmas Eve"
and Proff Green with shit like
