This drill is meant to increase an individuals confidence when dealing with a situation such as this. What usually happens to people who have not trained for such a situation is to panic and jump to the rocks or into the ocean thereby putting themselves, the craft, the environment, and the rescuers who are going to respond at risk. Thus, if you think this drill is not good then you need to think again. This is a comment from a former ocean rescue person; and now national boating istructor.
I'd like to push HER off the rocks...fancy listening to HER all the time you'd go fuckin crazy...or worse.....
