  • thats talent

  • what's the name of this software you're using?

  • ArtRage

  • ok thanks you'll be seeing my video soon

  • wow

  • That was REALLY great!! You're so talented. By the way, do you make any animated videos that feature your art?

  • wow. what talent.

  • i think it's legit nj man

  • Hey what is the program you are using to paint and record the process? It doesn't look like photoshop to me.

  • For anyone doubting this is real, just look on youtube for other "speed painting" clips. Some use reference pictures, some do not. As the artist said, the entire point of these types of videos is to show the process more than the result. It doesn't matter if you can take the pic, throw on some filters, and have it look "painted". It's not the same concept at all. This is a built-up recreation like if he were painting someone's portrait in real life.

Always fun to watch these clips!

  • I guess it's a compliment that people think it's fake. :-D

  • Are you serious? ... Wow. It's sad that I can spend hours and hours on ACTUALLY painting a picture and I even show it. Yet people think I'm faking. Next time do I need to actually recording myself drawing it?

  • I think what people don't believe is just what you said. Speed painting is a relative term if it is taking you hours and hours of doing it and then present it to us in 4 minutes. Maybe you should time yourself or give an explanation if it took you more than one sitting to do it, etc. Put a real clock in a the frame so we can watch how long it actually took you. There are "speed typing" videos too where they just speed up the frame rate. I am on your side, so don't pay attention to the haters.

  • @cuptow555 People are stupid, just ignore them :)

Even if you left it "rough" that's still better than what those who cry "fake" can do.

That being said, I wish I had your skills :[

Still need at lot of practice.

  • @MazeMazzy also sorry for new comment on (very) old post. I looked up "epic speed paints" and this was the first first thing.

  • kool but i know u didn't paint it

    (or did he)

  • Um actually did...

  • easy to do with a reverse button though...

  • What?

  • That made no sense.. reverse?

  • ahh it looks so real

  • great job

  • wow.. man keep the nice work

  • God I want to fuck Zadi so badly. Dude if you paint me a nude picture of her I'll paypal you $500 no lie.

  • I am 100% jealous of your talent; I draw portraits, and watching this gives me a mixture of inspiration / extreme self failure

  • Hey Chip - what program are you using to paint here?

  • Art Rage

  • cool :O except the teeth.. :D

  • Thats seriously amazing man, awesome!

  • Wow dude. Seriously, I don't understand how you can do that. Extremely awesome. Nice work, bro.

  • dude that was some crasy stuff but was that awesome or what man you got a gift my friend you should get paid for that

  • WOW! thats crazy good!! =]

  • can someone enlighten me to who this song is by?

  • Róisín Murphy - "Movie Star"

  • Very Talented! :D

  • Great stuff chip - awesome talent and thanks for sharing!

  • Awesome! Thanks so much. You rock! :)

  • i don't get it. why not just open the image in paiter and make it paiterly - why start from scatch - very talented - i could not do this, but then again, I would come up with a similar result, just start bluring the image

  • exactly... that's the point of the video. To show the process not so much the end result. Because when people see paintings etc, they don't have ANY idea what the painter goes through to get the end result. And the process is what's the enjoyable part to me, not so much the end result. And with this video I force people to see my favorite part of painting.

  • lol got that right, people don't see and understand what it's like to spend time on painting, let alone any piece of art. It's not about the end result, because if it were you wouldn't be painting.

  • first to comment, but not the first to be amazed :), great job as always <3B.

  • Thank you Bridgette!!! <3 Chip
