As the years progress, the monsters get tougher due to the "cycles". Starting from the first time you gather myrrh, every other year, there is a new cycle. For example, Year 1 for River Belle Path would be Cycle 1, and after you beat it, Year 3 would be Cycle 2. The boss there can only cast Thundara in Cycle 1(Year 1), but it can eventually cast Thundaga in Cycle 3 (Year 5) and up.
If either of you have alchemist parents, forge yourself the Force Ring from the design your dad gives you. Equip it, and all the terror the final boss series has is mostly gone. Force Ring is godly against any foe (Like Raem, or Giant Bees) that piss you off with constant knock-down attacks. Excellent partnership, though. Most of the time, my multiplayer partner sucks so much I just say, "Carry the chalice and keep outta my way." Thumbs up to you.

I beat the Meteor Parasite, but I can hardly get a couple hits on Raem without having it sic those stupid black minions after me. Plus, they respawn so quicky that I was spending all my time fighting them while waiting for an opening to get to the main boss! Any tips?

Your cooperation skills are definitely something worth admiring. I can't say the same for the music... what gives with the shitty Irish dancing soundtrack in the game? I mean I know it's the theme and all but it doesn't exactly sound like "greatest enemy in the game" type of material...

Yuna359, the thing on the bottom of your GBA, you'll see the bonus requirement. If you get that up, you will be able to get better artifacts at the end of the level like str+5!
I think u dont have to carry the calice cuz ure in something like the world of memories, where raem feeds. My bro and I already finished the game and i would recommend it to everyone.
well it seems like we entered a tiny crystal that is on the chalice or we were transported somehow with the tiny crystal. In other words we have no clue but in the final battle Raem survives by eating memories instead of living in miasma
We recomend it because you have to fight the parisite which has 3 bodies then u fight Raem twice and both are strong. Oh and you know those Memories you have? The Second version of Raem takes ur memories away and if falls below 10 i think or all the way to zero then its Game Over. So try to get as much of Memories as possible
I tried it out without getting serious about it yesterday and got to mio-raem using one pheonix down. Then thought I'd start trying but actually didn't have any pheonix downs left so I kept getting laser blasted :(. Saves though at the cloud cutscene where mio-raem comes down from the halo thing.

heres the deal: Raem and the white thingy eat memories and use the energy to continue life. Raem became addicted to the miasma that the parasite produced and eats bad memories and creates evil. He intervened to save the meteor parasite so he would get his miasma fix . When you beat him, he panics and absorbs the white spirit thing and starts consuming your memories to try and defeat you.
ALRIGHT... Raem wanted 2 eat ur memories, which at da time we were trapped in a bubble, but some blurry thingy we forgot what its name is, didnt want him to eat our memories and broke da bubble and we got out and raem got pissed cuz he got betrayed by dat blurry thingy and started 2 fight us.
? i was in my 14 year and i whooped his ass singleplayer

Tips: Get rid of the Red Minion only and let the blue one attack for it is weaker.
Have Chocobo Shield for Clavat if that's your race. Strong Armor and Shield.

And that white blurry thing is the Lady Mio. She eats memories, too. Apparently, she took some of Leon Elsa's (the Black Knight) memories.
