  • @MsArzens dude the French surrendered in the two wars everyone only cares about lol.

  • @Alexplus20

    Which one please?

In WWI French fought until the end and won the war (it's not because US arrived just before the end of the hostilities that they did effectively put an end to this war. MOstly because the number of american soldiers engaged in WWI, without being nul, was far from what Germany, UK and France engaged.

And in WWII, the government surrendered, most of the french army joigned General De Gaulle to continue fighting (and won several of the toughest battle of WWII)

  • @chenoir lol shut up

But no, it's not lighter than a buggie, I think it weighs about 2 tons.

  • @0321USMC

A bit more: 3.8tons...no, isnt' a buggy...the VBL is a excellent vehicle, one of the best in this category, only light undermotorized

  • vive la france!!

  • Damn this should've been the interceptor in Mad Max!

  • It's lighter than a Volkswagen Buggie LOL

  • @Savta1234

    It weight 4000 kg.

And your volkswagen couldnt carry a Milan or an Eryx.

  • an IED would rock that tonka toy

  • @joercr It's JUST A CAR. It's not MRAP or IFV. of course IED would destroy it. Calibre .50 would be enough to shatter it to pieces. Same goes for your Humvee.

It's designed for peacekeeping missions, travelling through safe zones, reconnaissance or as tank destroyer platform.

  • fuck! i want one of those!

  • VBL PANHARD IS ONE FROM MY FAVORITE EXPIRIENCE IN THE GREEK ARMY, WE TRAINED IN A WAR SICTUATION IN THE ISLAND OF SAMOS,AND VBL WAS THE BETTER,FAST, SMALL ARMOR VEHICLE FOR SPECIAL OPERATIONS! IT IS SMALL FOR HIDDING,AND FAST FOR DO ANYTHINK.....VIVE LA FRANCE....GREETINGS FROM GREECE !!!

  • @PSYBOY1984 Did you lose the war with your Caps lock button?

  • @Alexplus20 I lose the war because my dick was in your mouth, all the time..but....ok you do the best blowjobs...so next time..alex!!!

  • @PSYBOY1984 your dick? What dick? You have nothing...get off your high horse.

  • @Alexplus20 dont speak with my balls in your mouth...because i dont hear you...please!

  • @PSYBOY1984 what is this your darkest fantasy faggot? Better get your homo flags ready for the next gay pride march faggot.

  • @Alexplus20 You seem to have some repressed issues there..

  • @PSYBOY1984 oh please..sign me up for some more of that incredibly witty r'epertoire.

  • We used to see these all over Kosovo. They're great and a lot of fun, but the armor is barely enough stop harsh language, and that's about it. Still, they're great. I'd love a demilitarized surplus one of my own.

  • @azimuth361 Don't speak about things you don't know ! This vehicule is to be compared with the american Jeep or the hummer but smaller than the hummer and bigger than the jeep, though it's far better than both cause you get more protection in it.

  • @Heimrik01 Did you notice the 1st line in my comment? 'We used to see these all over Kosovo."? I've driven one around Camp Bondsteel. I do know a bit about them. The line about the armor is not mine, It's one from a soldier in the French Army. I'm merely repeating it. The only HMMWV permitted for use in tactical operations is the M1114. It has far better armor than the VBL. The Army stopped using Jeeps in 1985. It would appear you are speaking about things you don't know.

  • @Heimrik01 Also, the VBL's size isn't always an advantage. The M1114 can be configured in to dozens of variants; It can be a platform for more weapons systems than the VBL; as a MEV, AAA platform, hell, I've even seen one with a FLA control tower in the back. The M1114 has more towing capacity, as well.

Oh, and I've been Infantry and Cavalry for 13 years. I've worked with Soldiers and operated equipment & fired weapons from many nations. I have four combat tours under my belt. Do you?

  • @azimuth361 I believe you mix everything, not all weapons are supposed to be used for all puposes, a plane is not a tank and a boat is not a vbl, in the same way the The armored LAV VBL PANHARD is a war CAR and nothing else man ! So why comaring it to different weapons which have different purposes and desgned for different troops ! The armored LAV VBL PANHARD is a military car designed for rapid movements and allow small groups of militars to go from a place in another one and yet be protected.

  • @Heimrik01 You have made the same mistake by comparing the VBL with a Jeep and a HMMWV. The VBL is a scout vehicle and it's very well designed for that purpose. However you said that it's far superior to the HMMWV and that it offers better protection. You're wrong. The M1114 is a more versatile platform and has better armor. The M1114's bulk and weight gives it better protection against IED's. Further, your argument is moot. The HMMWV is being phased out in favor of MRAP's.

  • @azimuth361 The armored LAV VBL PANHARD is the best one in its category as it can carry some LRAC (lance roquettes antichar) which can break any tank in the world in small parts. The advantage is that it is far lighter than a tank and may be carried in a plane and sent on the ground with parachutes. In the same time in can dirve on high lands which is impossible with a heavy tank, you see, it's a different purpose, For that kind of use,

  • @Heimrik01 I've spent three years in Iraq, one year in Afghanistan. Never seen a VBL in combat. I've spent a and year in Kosovo and a year in Bosnia. I've seen a lot of VBL's conducting peacekeeping missions.

  • @azimuth361 The armored LAV VBL PANHARD it is the best armored car in the world it can also drive in very narrow streets or even in a town center in civil wars contexts whereas the american cars are far to wide and to high ! do you understand my point now ? Now to talk about my past, I was an alps hunter in the army, some of them are in Afghanistan now (hose with the very large dark blue beret).

  • @Heimrik01 Hm. Seen any VBL's in combat? I haven't. I've seen lots of them in Bosnia and Kosovo, but none in Iraq or Afghanistan.

  • @azimuth361 they've been used by FFL during 1 gulf war, operation daguet and Tchad 2009 don't know about afghanistan but it's a light armored vehicule, can't survive IED.

  • @bingofioul , there aren't any of them in Afgha . French soldiers use the VAB or the VBCI

  • @azimuth361 So, you see, I now very well what are the best vehicules to be used in moutains, the smallest ones. which can drive any where and pass in between buildings or short paths in altitude where the heavy and large vehicules cannot drive, do you get it ? This is something which is very difficult to understand for amerivcans, cause every thing is bigger in your country as you got more room, but in Europe and Asia, things are upside down,

  • @Heimrik01 The VBL is a great scout vehicle, but it's not being deployed in actual combat operations in either Iraq or Afghanistan. An IED would blow it to dust or send it flying. The armor only stops small arms. A .50 cal round goes through it like shit through a goose.

  • what's the name of the songs???

  • its small its fast its lethal.

  • Why don't they come up with a model kit for this wonderful vehicle? Anybody out there know if they exist in plastic or diecast?

  • @jfos357 The French ADV/Azimut company released a very good resin 1/35 Panhard VBL

  • @pancholom The Azimut model is expensive...and its difficult working with resin. I've asked Tamiya and Italeri to make models of this vehicle. Both said they will refer my request to their production people. Thanks bro.

  • @jfos357 God luck =)

  • o kurwa,duży fiat w 0;24;d

  • Everything goes smoothly and orderly...........until you hit that 1st IED, and realise your armour is no better than cardboard.

  • @tku28 That is a V shaped mine resistant hull. Makes armor up Humvees look like garbage. The US is looking for light weight 4x4's for Afghanistan instead of the Winibego sized monsters they finaly upgraded to after 8 years in Iraq. Put slat armor on this and it would fit the bill for what they need. Of course they have to go USA first for defence. Those Oshkosh trucks are great but they won't go where this will. We should have have the Oshkosh trucks for Iraq.

  • @IVANGROZNEY if you watch those videos insurgents upload, with all the islamic music in the background, the ones they video with vehicles approaching a IED, then start shouting allah snack bar after. You`ll see better than what I was trying to explain. Maybe even some on here youtube who knows. No armour can prepare for those. They turn heavy armour vehicle into nothing. If was me I`d just say send me in a card board box with wheels. Armour useless, fucked either way.

  • @IVANGROZNEY These trucks are too small. Might be good to send with airborne troops but thats it.

  • Quels terroristes ?

  • Too bad it can't be bought in civilian conditions.

  • @lepivert

    I just thought the same.

How cool it must be to ride a VBL in the streets and in the slopes of the Alps.

  • I have an A3 4x4 here in Brazil, a very capable and over the average 4x4.

  • whats the soundtrack?!! please!?

  • ola ta lefta to ergaleio, alla na eihame kai antalaktika tha itan akoma kalytera...kosovo 2006-2007

  • @FredAndCoInc VIVA LA LEGION!!!VIVA FRANCO!!!ARRIBA ESPAÑA!!!!!

  • @TheVladivostok87 haha tu as deja tout prevu...

  • VIVE LA FRANCE !! england COLONY OF FRANCE

  • just too small..

  • @MARKCHAOS

since when a recon vehicle needs to be big ?

  • @s0undActivist humvee is much bigger than that..

  • @MARKCHAOS of couse its small, they carry their courage in it.

  • @Saxe333 funny :) but please... go back in mac donald's ;) eating seems to be the only thing you're country is good at XD

  • @Saxe333

yes but is it the english meaning of the word courage

"whats an english man favourite saying? .....................fight in my place, I follow you from far away"

for one time, give you a dick, next you'll show off

  • @assym2006 remember Dunkirk, not realy a glory for the english army, and the coward attack at Mers el kebir where you murdered about 1600 french sailors.....you guys were lucky!!!!Say thanks to the channel. The germans would have fucked you too without it....

  • @gauloiscalifornien never trust a country who best fighting force is the FOREIGN Legion. useless surrender monkeys.

  • @assym2006 Gurkhas ,mother fucker !!!You do the same. Germans Waffen SS of WW2 only 40% of them were germans, the rest were finnish,danish,dutch.....

    Also 1337-1453 remember....

Look for the Gurkhas videos on youtube, very interesting.

Don't try to give lessons, without Americans and especially the Russians, it would have been the same for you. LUCKY HE (A HITLER) LET YOU ESCAPE AT DUNKIRK WHILE A LOT OF FRENCH SACRIFICE FOR YOUR ESCAPE.

  • @assym2006

that's not our best unit, only the most well known.

  • @assym2006

Who surrender ? The French ? What did they surrender ? :) Their largest territory in Europe ? Their Outre-mer ? Corsica ? Guyana ? Their seat and veto in UN ? Tell me I don't understand :D

  • @Guildou

to Germany then Vichy france worked with them. cowards.

  • @assym2006

Yep, Vichy, I think englishmen love it, they can't stop summoning it :)

It is a fact, but there are many others :

-"The French held 7 german divisions in Dunkirk. England wouldn't have been able to carry on the war without them".

    Winston Churchill

    - "The value of French Resistance was equal to 10 to 15 divisions at the time of the landings".

    Dwight D. Eisenhower

    - "The Free French had been of inestimable value in the campaign."

    Dwight D. Eisenhower

  • I want a panhard vbl! They look like alot of fun! and very useful! I would use it for plowing the snow off my driveway in the winter... :D

Thee would be great for engaging armor assets...have a fleet of 20 of them shoot and scoot!

  • @warriorofsteel01

Plus it must be the coolest thing to ride on french roads. Or an AMX-10RC.

  • @chenoir

I dont know if the amx-10 is amphibious or not? thats the wheeled tank with the 105mm gun right?

  • @warriorofsteel01

Yup, that's it, and yes it's amphibious, at least in its first version, before they replaced the amphibious parts with enhanced armor, but it must by freaking funny to ride it on civilian road. And there, nobody is going to mess with you, cause that thing is 2m longer than any normal civilian car, and weight 15 time more

  • @chenoir

    yeah man

I like those vehcles...I think a weasal would also be pretty cool...the small air droppable tank...lol

  • otokar cobra is better

  • I want one of this VBL as civil car it is awesome .

  • @Obet1979

    Nop, tiene mas, creme

  • Les américains nous l'envi notre Panhard !!!^^

  • The VBL is my favorite so far,. Thaks for do it frenchies!

  • is this french product?

  • Yes, and I think it is better than the Humvee. Best armor because it was designed from the outset with the shield (the Humvee was not armored in the beginning ...), et amphibie (It floats and is equipped with propellers to cross deep rivers.

  • @SuperLegionar oui c'est FRANCAIS ^^

  • Hummer is the best !!

  • I want one!

  • Brasil! Selva!

  • The french have a history of coming up with some pretty interesting vehicles. Does anybody know if there is a road legal de militarised version of the PBL?

  • @cumbas haha! calmes toi.

  • @Swisscheez92
