You don't seem to be taking into account hourly price changes...that's probably why your mith seeds didn't buy - if you planning on buying over a period of time always compensate by pay or charging more or less according to weather the item is rising or falling. :D

Even more easier way, buy your item you like to flip for double it's price, sell for 1 gp. You do this to get your Highest and Lowest price. Then you wanna buy +1gp the Lowest price (your buy price) and sell your item -1gp lower then the Highest price (your sell price). Nice guide :)
