I KNOW I'm not the only one who wanted to reach through my monitor and choke the living crap out of this FDA (F$#king Dumb Ass) guy Robert Nelson!!!!!!!!!

That smug smirk on his face, his passing the buck, and outright ignorant comments make him an automatic candidate to be locked in a room with about 50 of these children and their families.

I tried to cut my wrist open last week. I was not acting out until after put on medication. Now I am not in control - like my emotions are all wrong and I feel flat or something. Then they put me in hospital and drug more. It is killing me. They dont care what these drugs do to people they dont care. They released me in worse shape than I went into the hospital with and none of this was going on before they put me on medication. Sorry for spilling my guts here. I am upset.

People with autism may have bad reaction to meds. I have and I tell them that and they ignore me. It has turned into a big argument between me and pill pushing Drs. They see my speaking up on this as non-compliance. They dont even ask me about myself they just push drugs. They no nothing about me. They say pills is for manic episodes... I have never had a manic episode in my life. They have never witnessed or seen this - my family tells them too. They still say manic. They are making up symptoms

I am a 46 year old adult with asperger syndrome. They do the same thing to adults. All Drs see me for less than 5 to 10 minutes and then try to perscribe meds including anti psychotics. This is happening to everyone - adults and children. They just ignore it when its an adult. Note also the none of the Drs who have done this to me have any training in autism spectrum disorder. I have only met one Dr who did and he did the opposite and did not push drugs. ((HUGS)) Kathy

psychiatry is scary. I studied this in college, and no I didn't go into this area in the end. So iI now have a useless degree. There is so much abuse and negligence with patients. The drugs are unnatural and overused. The best thing anyone can do is try to live as prescription free as possible. And protect children! I know there are a lot of ignorant people out there, but be it my own child or a foster child, there is no way I would just say, sure, bring on the lithium!

Wow! Finally the news reporters target the actual cause of the violence/suicide - the psychiatric drugs and the psychiatrists who subscribe them! I guess it's hard to blame a 7 year old. What's the psychiatrist going to say now since that he can't claim that the child didn't seek help soon enough - which is the common excuse they give when someone on drugs kills others or themselves.

Psychiatrists have no technology and no understanding of the mind and their only solution is a pill whose mechanisms and effects nobody understands, least of all them, and certainly not the manufacturer. The manufacturer's only basis for developing these drugs was that the drug changed (not "improved", just "changed") the behavior of a mouse or rat. The first solution is, if your child is worse after taking such drugs, stop giving them to him no matter who says what.

Well done, ABC. Can you imagine how many lives you could have saved if you did this story years ago. The info was there. These drugs have been killing people for decades. Almost all of the school shooters were treated with these drugs.
