I have really oily eye lids, too, with a partial monolid - and it's very annoying. I actually never thought I'd be able to wear eyeliner on my top lid from inner to outer eye because it ALWAYS smudged. Waterproof formulations are actually worse for me because they are designed to be removed with an oil-based makeup remover, so my oily lids actually make them smudge FASTER than regular liners. =(. But, I did find L'oreal Lineur Intense (sp) has really lasted well. I'll have to try Gosh, tho
@sweetservant I actually never really thought of the idea that waterproof formulations are to be removed with oily make up removers, but it makes sense. I've tried Lineur Intense recently because I've heard good things about it and it didn't work for me. :( With this stuff though, I don't see any smudging at all in my inner/outer eye after a long day.
@neonm402 Sort of. Product tends to build up on the brush where it comes out so over time it gets harder to apply. When this happened I just used a tissue and wiped the brush tip to try and get the dried up crap off it, but it didn't help that much.
@iRuNwiThsCiSs0Rs Hello! Not washing off your makeup every night is extremely bad for your skin. It can cause acne and other skin complications. And even if it's not showing any effects now, it could catch up to you later so just be careful. Sometimes I fall asleep with my makeup on too but for the most part I make an effort to at least wash my face with a makeup removing cleanser. I'm going to do a video on the one I use soon. :)
This was very helpful. I've been trying to find the right eyeliner for ages ! My Revlon Colorstay liquid liner lost its consistency even though I bought it back in the summer. I loved how it applied when I first bought it though. Anyway, I will definitely try the last two you mentioned.
@Blufrenzy93 I used that one too actually! Probably around 2 years ago, and it always smudged on my oily eyelids. :( I loved the applicator too but the formula didn't work for me.
@sparklymarmalade I had that problem at times...I just had to refrain from blinking. My friend claims she told me about the Sephora liquid liner...but I don't remember. lol Well she came with me to buy it, and I love it. The brush is sleek and applies well. Have you tried it ?
I'm the exact same way xD nothing works for me, except for the MAC liquidlast, try it you wont regret it trust me! it does the same as the Gosh one u were talking about, i wear it to volleyball tournaments and everything very heavy duty and about $18 good stuff! btw do u ever wear eyeshadow? eyeshadow always creases on me and ive seriously have tried every primer D:
@vintagecar6 Haha, it is such a pain sometimes! Next time I run out of my GOSH liner, I will definitely give the MAC one a try. :) No I never wear eyeshadow, I tried the urban decay primer potion in the shade "sin" on its own and it creased on me! :(
@sparklymarmalade creased on me too xD Ik exactly how it feels when my eye makeup gets messed up, you'll love the MAC Liquidlast tho, great great stuff! Great videos btw! ^_^
@tynotika aw no!! I'm starting to run out of my GOSH eyeliner and I wanted to try the MAC one out. :( Can you still purchase it online or something? & you should try the GOSH one, I can't compare the two yet but it's amazing!
@sparklymarmalade it's still on the MAC website, so I hope so! and I wish I had seen this video before I bought the Stila waterproof eyeliner :'( I will defs try the GOSH one next
