  • Can Leviathan even pull anything? I didn't see a coupler on the rear of the tender.

  • @deloreanman14 Never noticed that before. Not sure. I'm sure she has the power. Maybe he had not applied the coupler yet. I heard he was hard pressed to make it ready for Railfest

  • @deloreanman14 Their is a video of it pulling a caboose at the Monticello Railway Museum in Illinois.

  • What exactly was Leviathan built for?

  • @PereMarquette1223 I guess because the guy wanted t00. If I had the money I would build one too.

  • This is actually day of the festival. The MILW observation car was on the north end for the northbound trips to Alma after the first day.

  • I saw the SP #4449 in Owosso, Michigan and my Dad and I got shots of the Daylight. She is the one who pulled the American Freedom Train in the 1970s.

  • @falzonbr Yes she is one of the Locomotives

that pulled the "Freedom Train". However she

did not pull the Freedom train in Michigan,The American Freedom Train, toured the country in 19751976 to commemorate the United States Bicentennial. This 26-car train was powered by three newly restored steam locomotives..

  • i never get it, how that little train @ 6.45 can be so strong to pull 20 man around..

  • Daylight is my favorite, But I do love that little 4-4-0 too.

  • Very hard core!!!

I traveled from Carson City, Nevada to Michigan to get shots of the SP Daylight. I shot video of the SP Daylight at 11 different locations across the state of Michigan in July of 2009. Vids are on my youtube account.

    Curious.

  • Its a few shots from different things going on

throughout the 1st day of Train Festival 2009.

  • I was on this train too, it was the most awesome experience a railfan could ever ask for and the people both crew and passengers were awesome!

Please do this again next year guys as you can see all of us really loved it!

  • Yea, I got drenched filming 4449 in the morning.But I

pretty much dried out by noon.
