really cool, but how did you get those white islands (e.g. in her eyes)? Probably a stupid question, but in other tutorals they say you can't have any white islands, because it will only be a big black hole.

Since the stencil wasn't reusable (I just threw it away) I didn't have to worry about avoiding islands. Around 0:55 to 1:33 I stuck the stencil on the canvas while it was partially cut & now that it's glued down I cut the rest of the stencil while it's on the canvas so that the islands will stay on and not fall off. Then I sprayed and scrapped the island pieces off. Hope that help explain it.

yes it's just regular paper-sized cardstock that's been printed on. I had to use 2 sheets for the whole image.
