@skanky87 I really hope you are not that stupid. What I ment was after an area is clear cut, then replanted. A year later you would never know it was logged out. Yes the trees will be small, but it will look like a lot of small trees. Now, the average logging site, once replanted it grows so fast it can be logged out again in 40 to 50 years. Now, the redwoods will never be able to be replaced, but as long as it is regulated, its ok. They bring a shitload of money, who cares?

I just can't help but comment that Betty does have family and her children support her and what she stands for. She is originally from the southern US and was part of the days of standing up for equality between black and white race in her community. Is that a hippie??? Was that a usefull accomplishment??
