  • No wonder he is a good looking he is half Iranian half Japanese mixed.

  • @ZedFlashy he looks really Japanese though, the only thing about him that is Iranian is his nose...

  • 日本人の英語聞き取りやすいw

  • @iy6469

    典型的な日本語英語w

  • Darvish is coming to Texas!

  • Darvish is a beast! and Darvish literally means farmer in Persian, lols

    Eranian Pride!!!

  • If you look closely, Lebron traveled.

  • wow! He's half Iranian! If nobody told me i would have never known.

  • I can't wait to get my Yu Darvish Texas Rangers jersey!

  • BLUUUUUEEE JAAAYYYSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Probably going to the Jays/Rangers.

  • blue jays gonna sign this kid! i hope

  • Darvish may go to the Red Sox if Daisuke is on a bad season again...

  • Yu Darvish is the reason why I haven't lost faith in baseball. I can't wait 'til he comes to the MLB, so I don't have to stay up at 5am to watch him kick ass! :) Until that happens, GO! GO! FIGHTERS! :D

  • i don't think that matsuzaka is the best japanese pitcher to come to the major leagues. Has any one forgotten hideo nomo?

  • @Koorice nope. But here is the problem with him. Once hitters caught onto his tornado delivery, he turned obsolete. His time consuming delivery was an advantage for base runners trying to steal and hitters could see his pitch a mile away and crush it. He had some good years but after the Dodgers he wasn't good anymore. I believe Darvish could become a lethal force in the future. I just hope he doesnt sign with a big market team like LA(AL and NL teams), NYY, etc.

  • 6:36 Agree with Mr. Itoh. New stars are popping up pretty much every year. Can't wait to see Yuuki Saito coming to the pro in 2011. He literally carried his team alone to the summer's high-school championship in 2006 (a feat that even Darvish couldn't achieve). Though his tiny stature (5'9), few can pitch a 91 mph fastball in the eighteenth inning as he did in the final game.

  • yanks will hopefully get this kid i still wish they got chapman

  • @TheYankeesboy25 they have no chance. cashman just said he is not going to waste any money via posting meaning he wont pursue darvish.

  • @wasabiwild u never no w/ cash 2 word mark teixeira

  • yankees r gonna sign darvish hopefully this off season

  • oh he was half arab... i see...

  • @JinNey6 not arab man...

    he is half iranian

  • Makes me wish I'd played as a kid. Baseball isn't a very accessible sport for adults >_o

  • *it's pronounced Iranian not eye-ranian

    go Yuuuuuu

  • Yea I agree with

lin520999 Yu darvish maybe good but Japanese baseball is very different from MLB they use smaller balls bigger strike zone, and no power hitting. Japanese pitchers tend to do well because they have a stranger pitching windup and pitching motion that messes up batters at first, but after awhile they all falter, HIdeo Nomo, Chan Ho Park (yes hes korean just assume), even Daisuke went down

  • @hobisbhaicha1234 Well, you gotta understand that those players have their car

eer peeks while they are in Japan. It's typically around the age of 28 that they get to go to MLB. And they spend a couple of years for adjusting to the different pitchers, batters, game style, and even the ball that they use in US. In the end they are over 30 when they are really ready to play without frustration.

  • you gotta have WA!!!!

  • Yu Darvish is possibly the best pitcher in the world.

I hope he comes to the MLB. It would be a gift to watch him pitch against the top hitters in the world.

  • @iBlue69 I rarely get excited about these up and coming pitchers - especially the ones from overseas. Arm problems usually get the better of these guys before they ever prove anything (Strasburg). The ones from overseas are an even bigger liability as they're so overworked in their native countries that by the time they get here, their arms are dust.I get more excited by guys who've pitched a lot of innings in the majors and put up respectable numbers, but haven't quite had that breakout season.
