YES, YOU HAVE TO PATCH THE FILES THEN DONT CLOSE DOWN THE KEYGEN AFTER THE PATCH BECAUSE YOU NEED TO ENTER THE EXACT SERIAL AND AUTHORIZATION CODE THAT WAS SHOWN ON THE KEYGEN BEFORE YOU PATCHED IT.

Found the soloution :) when you patch the folder go into program files>sony>vegas pro 9.0 then it should work

I have the SAME problem, I'm not a noob, I've been looking for hours for a solution to the authentication problem and can't find one that will work. I know how to patch correctly, generate, all that, and it works perfectly but THE AUTHORIZATION CODE DOES NOT. EVERY TIME. I swear I have tried 20+ times by now from scratch. Please can someone help!

follow the instructions exactly as gazofnaz says and it will work for you.. promise.. dont leave out any steps

Me too, I applied the " NOPE" keygen and lost all my plugins etc :) its back to my version 8 for me.

OKAY! i now know anything you guys are doing wrong! XD

pay attention here's what you MUST do EXACTLY!

1. install sony vegas

2. open the keygen AS ADMINISTRATOR (if you don't open it as administrator it wont work during patching)

3. click the dropdown menu and choose THE EXACT title of your software (this includes differences of pro, platinum, 7 8 and 9).

4.Patch in both folders as shown in various videos

then DO NOT GENERATE AFTER PATCHING.

5.open sony vegas and put in the serial off the keygen, next go through the next steps till you get to the last bit with the authentication code and copy the one from the keygen (MAKE SURE THE SERIAL ABOVE IT MATCHES THE ONE YOU HAVE CHOSEN AT THE BEGINNING)

DONE! SONY VEGAS IS NOW YOURS!

the authentication code doesn't work and it matches the serial number. it also seems one letter too short too

please help me, I trierd everthing.. im opening in administrator, I select 9.0 platinum series, I click patch and go to program files -> Sony -> Vegas 9.0 platinum and then I click generate, an error occurred like always
