  • Ap's a shark in a sea of fish. So many rappers to kill, such little time.

  • @OfficialSezTV You're joking right?

  • Violator = my fave depeche mode album

  • my neighbors love Apathy... because i make them listen to it.

  • Flow is sick!

  • "god's got a whole ipod full of app shit" lol champ

  • I love how open-minded AOTP are when it comes to other genres of music.

  • yo you know what i just realized that this song doesnt say fuck at all

  • sickest part is the scratch at the end.

  • @gr82bn8 binary star has a sick scratch ending of glenn close

  • Damn i know this song from Grand Theft Auto San Andreas

  • @Gamefreak14ab That's Depeche Mode's version :-)

  • @Gamefreak14ab this was on GTA SA? played it alot and ive never heard it

  • @Degenerate999 Belive me. Hear Radio X from GTA SA or look the play list. You will see in the playlist Depeche Mode - Personal Jesus OK.

  • The two Songs are identical

  • Sage Francis, Eyedea, Slug, Apathy, unknown prophets, five quick hip hop artists that are better then Em, EM is wack with his new shit, like dude said, when he was underground he was sick.

  • @rebelwthoutacause i second this :)

  • this is so dope it, it seems longer then 1 : 30 seconds ..

  • brilliant

  • @Vladic89 wtf is wrong with you ?You got issues dawg...pay a visit to psychiatrist...

I didn't compare 'em,it is a fact. Not bashing Apathy,he's one of my fave underground emcee.

Mainstream or underground, white or black or green Em's dope, bottom line.

But everyone got their own opinion...

  • He's very dope and talented, but not better than Em.

  • @pRiMeAndRhyme Your a fucking retard, dummies that have no clue about Hip Hop music always compare white rappers to Eminem. Mothafuckah I could name at least 5 white lyricists that are better than him. But at the end of the day, its not about fucking color which is another thing you idiots don't understand. It's about the culture and art of rhyming. If you knew anything about Hip Hop you'd get that Em in his current state would get demolished by Apathy. Em sounds like whiney bitch now.

  • @pRiMeAndRhyme ahahaha. Em ain't shit compared to this. Just the beats blow Em away. He was good when he was still underground, all his new shit. nope. not happening.

  • @ANARCHY4OFFICE true that

  • @ANARCHY4OFFICE guess you didn't hear Bad Meets Evil... no one is blowing anyone.. (just pretend Em's dick is a ballon and blow.)

  • @pRiMeAndRhyme

    lol you trippin.

  • i just wish this song was longer though....

  • LOL holy fuck.. I just realized i was playing this song over and over and over again

  • Apathy = God mode

  • how can 7 people dislike this, Apathy is good

  • @butterflyrperty Nah, he's a personal jesus.

  • 6 people have flopy disks

  • THUMBS UP FOr HIM BEING BETTER THAN EMINEM!

  • @nicjoe00 Yes, because we must compare all white rappers to Eminem as opposed to simply appriciating them for what they are.

  • word to apathy

  • He's got ridiculas flow. Kinda sounds like xzibit but a lot better.

  • depeche mode is under rated by far. i got their old shit my father used to listen to. stop hating on older music uve never learned about if u dont know what theyre aBOUT. ez

  • Depeche Mode, for real? That's the worst band EVER. The world would be a better place if Depeche Mode never exisited.

  • @MrFartknocker666 the melody's they created are dope, you godda understand that there is alot of sampling going on in Hip Hop.

  • He reminds me of a white gift of gab. like his delivery and voice and shit reminds me of blackalicious on this track so much.

  • @GodDamnJets No doubt, Gift of Gab is insane!

  • i am jesus

  • @TheAeroSoul ya and i am too, exactly man.

  • what is it with this guy and making manson songs into rap? nothing against either manson or apathy, but he needs to quit with the remakes.

  • @themanhatedbyall apathy can do whatever the fuck he wants cause his rhymes are sick no matter what he spits over.

  • @themanhatedbyall what the fuck are you talking about, its simply the same sample. Manson stole that sample from Depeche Mode. Not to mention that instrument wise it's very different. Do your research dummie.

  • If you like Apathy check out Teddy Roxpin, he produced 3 tracks on Apathy's Wanna Snuggle and has a ton of new tracks up for sale and download on his Soundcloud page. Just look up Teddyroxpinbeats or TEddy Roxpin on Facebook! True hip-hop lives...you wont regret it

  • he should collab with chris webby, both reppin ct

  • yeee new sound,, like it

  • This without doubt the best beat EVER! :3 And AP kills it as always

  • please guy stop crying on sampling.

sampling is beautiful , intelligent , and the best way to make something completly new with an old masterpiece.

    thx.

  • I dont like the flow but i appreciate the lyrics. its too robotic and army marching style.

  • @ShaolinEast i agree

  • @ShaolinEast dont like the flow? Its fuckin awesome.

  • @TristanMODZ Nah it sounds very commercial to me, like he is trying to get this song onto MTV or something. Ive noticed that about apathy i think he is trying to break away into the mainstream.

  • simple, catchy, yet sophisticated. damn i love apathy

  • Lol Ap reminds me of a White papoose ^^

  • over and over again

    damn its catchy

  • @ThayinJai you are

  • like a kathy needs a regis, i needz a jesuuus :D

  • holy shit whatever you click on by apathy is fucking tight

  • i know

  • True that

  • @THExDARKxREAPER very talented.

  • @THExDARKxREAPER damn right man :D

  • whoooaa!!!!!!!!

  • sick

  • oh my gooooood

  • This was inspired by Priscilla Presley's book Elvis And Me, where she described their relationship. Martin Gore of Depeche Mode said: "It's a song about being a Jesus for somebody else, someone to give you hope and care. It's about how Elvis was her man and her mentor and how often that happens in love relationships - how everybody's heart is like a god in some way, and that's not a very balanced view of someone, is it?"

  • I'd be someone else's jesus, but I don't need a jesus.

  • @purplehazygurl my cock is your jesus

  • For the love of christ....Johnny Cash is not the original artist.

Martin Gore wrote the song for their 1989 album Violator. Cash covered it for his album in 2002 that was a majority of covers...including his cover of NIN's Hurt.

It's 2009...can't you kids learn how to use google or wikipedia before spouting shit out.

  • 10$ says dubaycr is right cuz i know he dint write his last song hurt

  • @dubaycr I though it was depeche mode

  • @dubaycr

fuck naw we can't use google, cause that'd be the smart thing to do

  • @YukioSumadera I read a potential comedian comming along

  • @dubaycr Johnny Cash sucks. I like the Depeche Mode one, and you're forgetting Marilyn Manson re-did it too. That's my favorite one.

  • @dubaycr Good luck in your quest for common sense! :)

  • @dubaycr u forgot about Marlyn Manson)

  • that cant be the actual apathy song, somone fucked up his original

  • Marilyn Mansons song

  • Wrong its originally by Johnny Cash

Marilyn Manson just did a pathetic cover of it.

  • depeche mode wrote the personal jesus >_>

  • Johnny Cash is the man, anyone who does not agree with this can fuck off :)

  • ohh i didnt know thanks for letting me know ;D

i do like marilyn mansons version tho XD

  • Personal Jesus was written by depeche mode.

  • no it was written by Johnny Cash before Depeche mode existed

  • Oh, ok. Did not know that.

  • is he Latin?

  • no he aint.

  • xanaathar ure dumb as fuck

  • The cover wrong man, thats songs issent on that album

  • sick fucking shit

  • Lil Wayne, wtf???? why even mention him around real rappers??? Apathy and Immortal Technique are best rappers out there at the moment, imho.

Immortal has come a long way from his far leftist inner city liberal views, he's almost a true anarchist now.

  • yeah man i agree with you, but there are some guys who are comin up if not at the level of Ap and Tech, like Hasan Salaam and others

  • dont 4 get paz eazy L pac life man so many gud rapprz "WAS"

  • lil wayne shouldnt even be in the same sentence as apathy, wayne is not even close to him

  • why the fuck is it every time i come to check out some AP, someone has to compare him to Lil Wayne....i mean, come on. Wayne reminds me of diarrhea, it flows but its all shit!

  • most likely cause Ap raped lil wayne with the love lock down track haha

  • I hope you haters get hit by a car. If you dont like it go back to listening to gay ass lil wayne. This shit is sick and Apathy is probably the most talented in the market today.

  • get em!!!! ap da bomb

  • How about doing some reasearch on hip hop and then listening to the lyrics to this song before thinking about calling it "crap rap".

  • But sift through the bullshit ya know. At the end of the song. We know two things about Apathy for eg. and say for instance Lil Wayne. We know that Apathy is a dope mc right..and we know that Lil Wayne lyrically sucks. But Lil Wayne is more popular to the majority of people in America because he has carissma. Apathy might not have carissma but hes a more talented mc. So things in our culture are based on whats 'hot,' not on whats talented. At least in the rap culture.

  • lil wayne has charisma??> lol, the kind of charisma a 2 headed goat at a freak show has maybe, cmon pple why does ne1 even care about lil wayne? i like dirty south too but, *#@! that stuff, a millie a millie a millionaire hahaha, garbage......

  • agreed, lil wayne is all garbage

  • Dude Lil Wayne is more popular then Apathy because he sold out. Apathy is'n't fitting the commercial stereotype in his lyric's so they won't give him air time. Basically Lil Wayne is promoted a lot more than Apathy is, not many people know about him.

  • The real problem is why can't talent be what's hot?

    charisma*

It's really not that hard to spell check people.

  • Exactly Talent should be hot. But the people who judge talent have their head up their arses or in someone elses pocket So in the end it all comes down to politics not about whos really good. Take basketball for eg. some of the pimpest cats are walking around penniless while some average dude is rockin a couple million dollar contract. Its all about conections But thats just the tip of the iceburg ITs a system, thats the best way to explain it But respect for youtube and the real heads who know.

  • ..that most of their individual reasoning goes out the window. Not really to mention how smart they were originally. Weak people need other weak people and so in a group or gang that makes them strong. But once in a group its proven that mob mentality or mob rule usually takes over. So when you have that many people following someone it usually dosent matter what that person does or says as long as its acceptable to the whole. (Hitler is a good ex.) Anyway thats why people are sheep. LOl.

  • Comment removed

  • thumbs up if ur down for underground!!!

    Apathy

    celph titled

    Virtuoso

    jedi mind tricks

army of the pharaos all these guys are the truth!

  • diabolic should be at the top of that list

  • This guys blood can't cover my sins!

  • wow finally a comment page full of hiphop heads. I get laughed at for listening to the underground. Ever heard of sage francis? He's sick.

  • LOL, its alright b/c we laugh at the homos listening to Lil Wayne and Kanye and think they know what hip-hop is

  • Ahh... Stfu, please.

  • aww, did i offend you? why dont you go back to listening to Kanye crying over tracks with his auto-tuner, and go listen to Lil Wayne thinking he's something special with retarded-ass lines like "im so high i can eat a star" you fucking homo!

do you light candles at night and cry yourself to sleep listening to poor little Kanye crying about his failed relationships? do you jerk-off to the pictures of Lil Wayne kissing Birdman on the lips? hahaha, you actually listen to those faggots?

  • Kanye used to be dope. He has 2 classic albums.

Don't listen to Lil Wayne a lot now, but I liked his older shit.

It's sad tho that you think just because you listen to "real hip hop" (supposedly) you think you're better than them or that it means your opinion is worth more.

  • If I listen to real hip-hop, my opinion is obviously worth more than people who listen to "rappers" like Soulja Boy and think they know hip-hop.

I guess it's hard to blame kids today though. They don't really know any better. They just listen to what ever the radio plays for them, and what ever they see on TV. They get taken advantage of by record labels looking to make a quick buck.

All I have to say is 2Pac, Biggie, Big Pun, and Big L must be rolling in their graves w/ rap today. Its sad.

  • You can't really put Soulja Boy and Kanye & Wayne in the same category.

And, kids are going to listen to stupid shit, what can you do. You really think kids want to listen to intellectual shit like Ap, Immortal Technique, and Canibus? Nah, they won't something to dance to. But those kids got the right to listen to whatever they want without people tellin them to listen to "real hip hop".

  • Growing up in the 90's, all we listened to was that kind of rap music. Canibus was/is the shit! We didn't really have "dance rap". We didn't have "something to dance to" as you put it. It was all head-nod shit and stuff to just bounce to, so I think that's a lame excuse.

Yeah, they have the right to listen to whatever they want but they better not be calling themselves "hip-hop fans" when they know nothing about hip-hop culture or the history. They're just pop culture conformists.

  • let me start off by sayin FUCK the mainstream aight...shit is faker than pam andersons titties man...dont even open ur mouth about hip hop if you listen to lil wayne

  • Haha, awesome reply! I totally agree.

  • Totally, the mainstream wasn't so bad before, but you know what ruined it? This r&b bullshit. I mean, i can stand disco, or that anarchist 90's rock, and alot of other trends but this shitty rap period has to go!

  • please listen to fundamental for christ sakes, I'm tired of hearing bout lil wayne, flo rida and fuckin soulja boy they're a disgrace to fuckin rap all they do is make shit songs for 12 yr old girls. fuckin horrible examples for future artists in rap.

  • Amen man Amen..

  • dude listening to good music doesn't make you smarter. i mean most lil wayne fans are dumb but sometimes intelligent people just have bad taste. dont hate on the fans hate on the labels and artists who sold out.

  • i think you can hate on the fans more so than the labels depending on the age of the fan. granted, kids don't know any better so they just listen to whatever is on the radio...it's not really their fault.

i was born in '83, pretty much raised on the rap of the '90's when rap was in it's prime. anybody in the same boat as me listening to bullshit like Soulja Boy, Lil Wayne, Kanye's crybaby shit, Asher Roth, that southern finger-snapping rap, etc should be able to know it's BULLSHIT.

  • i guess it doesnt matter who's to blame. i feel your pain man. but really all u can do as a true fan is just stick to underground rap until it resurfaces. because it will.

  • I think it's going to have to resurface, so I hope you're right. I think a lot of people are getting tired of the bubble gum rap in the mainstream right now. And that has to include the record labels b/c record sales are down...and I don't think it has all that much to do with downloading. If the radio is only going to play one-hit wonders, obviously people arent going to buy the album.

Check out Slaughterhouse: its Royce Da 5'9, Joell Ortiz, Joe Budden, and Crooked I. Listen to "Woodstock".

  • As an emcee myself, I would never sign to a major label but I hope to reach mainstream fans. Because a lot of indie rappers are content being in the underground community. But I think that lil wayne has so many fans because ppl think its the best stuff out there. They simply dont know that underground rap exists.

  • I got your reply on that Slaughterhouse video. How hot is that shit? After hearing what some people refer to as "fire", Slaughterhouse must be lava! 4 fucking BEASTS on the microphone! They have like four songs on YouTube that leaked already. "Woodstock", "Move On", "Onslaught", and "Fight Club". All quality tracks. They're one of the few groups that actually have the ability to bring hip-hop back. Keep your fingers crossed, bro!

  • hells yeah

  • It shouldn't be solely up to the artist to bring hip-hop back. Underground music can become mainstream without them signing to record labels simply through word of mouth. It just takes work.

  • i agree but the problem here is main stream music is not rap/hip hop any more...well to me at least its gonna take a very long time for real hip-hop to come back these kids dont know what they are talking about when they sing ....they lost there roots

  • Naw thats not it. Its not about that. Its about the media. People are basically just sheep. And if mtv or bet says wayne is the best then people just baa in succession. Rap does live. Its just underground. This dude said that to me a while back on here and now I know its true. There is some AMAZING shit out today. But unless you know how to dig, you wont find it. Rap is better now than ten or fifteen years ago in its golden era. Its just underground. You gotta ask somebody whats up and whos real

  • It doesn't matter how you look at it, the industry is all bullshit. And beleive me I now there's plenty of good shit out there. But if good shit went mainstream, it would be easier to get and maybe people wouldn't be such damn sheep.

  • Well in a way it is mainstream. I mean its no tlike you cant get it. What would be the point if you couldnt get it? Ya know. Anyway I think people jsut ride jocks because its the popular thing to do. Its rare if someone can think for themselves now days. Everyone wants to do what everyone else is doing. And in that situation its easy for the carrismatic and the forceful to come in and rule. But I judge things on pure talent. Idk. Its actually a scientific fact that when people get into groups...

  • apathy is a fucking monster

  • For minimum wage, your miniscule brain

Is tryin' so hard to configure this rigorous trainin'
