In that version you see flying pieces of debris hitting Olive's dressing room door and that's what makes the knocking sound but in this version you see nothing hit the door at all and yet still hear that knocking sound, which is weird.

Personally, I'd prefer for these older cartoons to stay in black and white. As a result of coloriztation, the cartoon is sped up (by more than a minute), and the sound is also slightly off. Ignoring that, it's still a good cartoon.

Ehhh, the 50's and 60's habit of tracing and colorizing the classics from the 30's and 40's was not one to be proud of. They would cut corners, and if you compare this one to the black and white one scene for scene, you can see that they just got lazy. It would have been better to just leave it be.

The coloured version is actually inferior - mainly because only every second frame was actually colourized, resulting in less smooth animation. This is especially noticeable in Olive's crazy dance at 1:31 where her legs move barely at all compared to the black & white version!
