  • I would like to be invited to your blog.. Love Japanese food!!!! Would like to learn more Japanese at the same time.

  • It seems to be very delicious.

    I will challenge some time.

    Thank's upload.

    ありがとう ARIGATOU!

  • I thought Chili started in the USA when some of the people back then would roll around with meat that was really old/goingbad. So in order to get rid of the bad flavor they would simmer it in tomatoes and hot peppers. Got that from one of my teachers in culinary school. Also I worked with a Mexican in a restaurant and he said a lot of people think Chili and Nachos are Mexican when the arnt. Also beans are a modern addition to chili. Anyway looks good. Chili is one of my comfort foods.

  • it looks like u just woke up

  • Bobby Love ur vids! ignore the haters.

  • @Fonduko Thanks! Haters are easier to ignore when they're clearly out of their depth. And they make me appreciate the nice people out there all the more!

  • @bobbyjudo hey one question man, how long did it take you to learn Japanese?

  • Please stop speaking japanese. You're as untalented as it gets, seriously.

  • @friedrichl Either there's something about me that German people just don't like, or you have more than one account and I haven't blocked them all yet. You can leave as many of these negative comments as you want. In fact leave lots, they help my revenue. But lemme give you some advice: if you want to hurt my feelings, pick a different topic. You're never gonna make me feel bad about my Japanese.

  • @bobbyjudo So I'm not the first one? How surprising, haha. Why would you think you're decent? Because japanese people say you're good? You do know that they say that to anyone who can say "konnichi wa"?

Your japanese is on a level where you can communicate in japan without using english, hands or feet, yes. But both pronounciation and 単語集 are a joke, unless you learn the language for less than 2 years.

  • @friedrichl Why? Because I make a living writing Japanese for magazines, speaking Japanese on TV, and translating between languages. I wouldn't be able to do that if I didn't know what I was doing. I live 80% of my life in Japanese, and I've studied very hard in order to be able to. I know what I know, and I'm confident in it. Last week, I spent a full day disappointing a director for a commercial because they wanted someone whose pronunciation was "less natural." The only joke here is you.

  • @friedrichl Oh, and 単語集 means "word book" so, it makes absolutely NO sense the way you used it there. Perhaps you meant 語順, or 語彙? It was a nice try though.

  • @bobbyjudo Everyone who knows japanese understands that you're an untalented idiot already, but thanks for making it absolutely clear for just everyone. Please, look up 単語集 in a dictionary (And no, your edition of "Learning japanese with manga and anime without any talent at all" does not count.) - and then apologize like the idiot you are.

  • @friedrichl From Jim Breen: 単語集 【たんごしゅう】 (n) word book

I'm sorry for engaging you. I'm just gonna ignore you from now on. Enjoy being an asshole.

  • @friedrichl wtf is wrong with you LOL

  • I've made veggie chili before and it's really good with a LOT of mushrooms.

  • chili it's not a mexican food, i'm mexican and i never have eaten chilli in my life.

  • @beer996 I should've said Tex-mex.

    Sorry!

  • chili it's not a mexican food, i'm mexican and i never have eaten chilli in my life.

  • That is a good looking dish. I would pay to eat that sir.

  • I live in Greenaces.

  • @titicity305 Yeah, we are pretty close! Where did you go to high school?

  • For a non-cook, phrases like 'cut into bite-size pieces' and 'fry until fragrant' are really helpful and demonstrate an understanding of the way I relate to cooking (unlike strict time guidelines and such.) Thank you.

  • @dodgesxt oh crap...

  • @ImKazuaki ショック。

  • I like how you're speaking Japanese except when you say beans. haha

  • @etuak LOL. It's very common in Japanese to call western style beans "biinzu." Look up ビーンズ on google images.

  • Congratulations on your marriage! I hope you're both forever happy :)

Thanks for making another vegan dish. Though the actual food does make me very happy, it makes me even happier to see an internet celebrity encouraging vegan dishes.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

  • @ReyFortea Thanks, Rey! I have no idea how this turned into a thread about me getting married though...

  • @bobbyjudo I'm not sure either. In any case, happy Thanksgiving! Good luck cooking-up a storm for your family. :)

  • excellent. Looks delicious.

yeah, I suppose they dont have thanksgiving over there do they? There is one thing I would like to know. (this is completely unrelated), what is your favorite Japanese movie?

  • @Radrey Over where?

My favorite Japanese movie is probably Beat Takeshi's Zatoichi.

I'm not a big Miike fan, am ashamed to say I've never seen Kurosawa, and I don't like most contemporary J-movie fare, cause the acting is never good enough to sell the story. In high school, I really enjoyed one called Samurai Fiction, but I watched it again recently and was underwhelmed.

    Oh, I liked Okuribito.

  • @bobbyjudo I was talking about Japan. After Halloween its straight to Christmas here it seems.

wow. You seem like more of an art house kinda of guy so you picking Kitano's Zatoichi surprises me. I thought you would say something like Sonatine (one of my favorites by him). But, I still like Zatoichi for what it is despite the overuse of bad CG in film here.

I'd like to have your contribution of a short video for my collab on "what's your favorite japanese film." If its not too much to ask

  • : D congrats on getting married

  • So you got Married, well congratulations (^o^) I hope you and your family have a Happy Thanksgiving.

  • that looked delicious.

  • I didn't knew you had a skype, and i loved the video and made me hungry......

  • Thanks for the recipe! おいしそう〜 But - not sure if I'm the only one having this problem - I had trouble with the sound, it was super quiet..

  • @CultureQuirk Think it was quieter than usual, but if your volume (and the player volume) is up, it should be okay. Will be careful next time!

  • @Ryuzaki1311 It's the jet lag. Can't get the bags out from under my eyes .

    Thanks for the comment!

  • thank you for more vegetarian food!

  • u speak well (japanese)

  • @leesueyue thank you!

  • @bobbyjudo ^^

  • those veggies at 1:26, look 2 good 2 be real, wow

  • AH, I love good chunky vegetable chilis like this one! The thinner, more mono-consistency chili varieties just aren't as good. thumbs up!

  • @gripracer thanks! Yeah, if it ain't chunky, it's not chili... it's soup.

  • Congratulations on your marriage, someday could you show us the wedding video !

  • @109mytiger We don't have one yet!

  • @bobbyjudo Ehhhh!!!!!.... bikurishta.... you got married?..... Congratulations!!!!!!!

Oh yeah! as ususal, nice vid. Happy Thanksgiving.

  • @109mytiger PS. Thanks for hijacking my thread!

  • ちょっと疲れて見たいんだよ

    大丈夫かぁ?

  • @Keinbby 時差ぼけ!

  • Was that me who made your Skype go ping? Sorry XD

  • @Kail200X ha! Totally. The funny part was in editing, I didn't realize it had recorded, and kept thinking someone was skype-ing at me.

  • I may try this one day. I had began to write down everything that I know how to cook in a huge journal.. and if I like this (whenever i cook it) this will go in there too. :D

  • @Pooobaihr23 What kind of recipes have you got in there now? Any recommendations?

  • @bobbyjudo Hmn.. My cooking isnt fantastic lol. Im still learning how to make different things. BUT, what I can say that is good is something that I kinda picked up from watching a Rachael Ray show. Its kind of like a stew?ish type dish. Its pretty good. And of course everything that I make for Thanksgiving will be going into that book as well.

  • It looks delicious. Can I add water to the recipe to make it more like a chili soup?

  • @Aveenogreen I guess you could, but i'd be worried about thinning out the taste? What about adding fresh tomatoes or more veggies to get more moisture?

  • so welcome back to the sunshine state!!! and Im definitely trying this recipe it looked so yummy and easy to make (i set cereal on fire but this looks doable).

  • @lauramrs Thanks! If you're a fire bug, just remember, LOW heat is clutch. :)

  • welcome back to the states! (:

  • Great looking recipe.. I'm sure you could add meat to it as well if you liked. =D

I might have to make that myself.. seems pretty simple.

Thanks for all your hard work.

  • @markshmily no worries. I've made it once or twice with ground beef, but I actually really like it for the taste of the vegetables.

  • cool
