@grim181 Looks like PS 4.0 (not cs4). Seen quite a few comic artists use ps4 and they usually say it's because how blending used to work in older photoshop versions. They did something in ps5, not sure what, but a lot of people don't dig it.

I'm not Mike Krahulik (Gabe). I do know he inks with a Wacom tablet. Photoshop does not "ink the line" for you; that's probably due to 9 years of practice.

Yea, I would like to know too. Am starting to learn how to do ink and colour comics with PS and most of the resources seem to use different methods that doesn't give as strong nor natural a line as what this video shows. Does anyone know how to do it "Penny Arcade" style? Heh. Cheers.

I have never used photoshop for my drawings, what exactly is that you use so the ink on the program makes it easy to draw. It seems like all you do is click and drag and it stays on the sketch line for you. What photoshop do you use and how do you make it so it inks the line easy for you?

he uses a wacom intuo's, and a large brush tool. It' looks like he's using photoshop CS2 but maybe CS1.

It just takes practice. He's using a wacom, and he's been doing the comic for about 10 years now. Trust me, I am an aspiring webcomic artist, and I know how frustrating it is to see a video like this, and how easy it is for them. But just keep in mind, he's had a lot of practice.
