the reason why we are so surprised/chocked about Lightnings real name being Clarie is because we all picture Lightning so strong and brave and not all emotional and girly. Claire isn't as "cool" and "superhero -ish" as Lightning, but Imagine two beautiful sisters named Serah and Claire at the age of 5 or 10 - i think it's cute! ^^

This may seem strange but as a part time LightXSnow fan, I think it would've been way cute if Snow had been thrown back and crashed into Light, a momentary scene of worry for Snow on Lights part would've made the scene before a little more sad because Light feels sympathetic that Snow had just found and Lost his love in the same few minutes XD

@vanadiumd Oh, the similarities to Seymour are there, true enough. But while Seymour never offered me much trouble in the boss fights, Barthandelus was a pain to defeat each time. And while Seymour did just show up long enough for our heroes to fight, defeat, and then fail to send him, this guy just toys with you until you do finally kill him, and even then, that's all part of his plan.

Also, Seymour had blue hair-antlers. This guy is basically Pope Palpatine, which earns him bonus points.

Oh yea. the thing bout Lightnenings name is that the traditional FF thing is to give the main characters names relating to the sky. they had a debate to name Lightening either Lightning or Claire, which means "Thunderous Storm" in french or something. so this is how they solved it.

the setting of Oerba, scary. to have your hometown destroyed by time and ruin, infested by Cie'th, whom in my own thinking, are the inhabitants of Oerba and were all turned into L'Cie and failed their focus, yet are unable to abandon a village that meant so much to them, even if they live only to destroy now.
