The "Lucy" who inspired this song was Lucy O'Donnell (later Lucy Vodden), who was a classmate of John's son Julian Lennon when he was enrolled at the private Heath House School, in Weybridge, Surrey. Actually, the song isn't about LSD. John Lennon swore that he had no idea the initials spelt out LSD. The song is actually about a classmate of Julian Lennon's (John Lennon's son). Julian came home one day with a picture of his classmate Lucy. He'd drawn some stars in the sky and called it Lucy in the sky with diamonds. The images are inspired by Alice in Wonderland. ♥ Love The Beatles!
