This seems to be the best information I have found about using KDE 4.2. Google search returns mediocre results for how to use the interface. KDEs home page should include this video. Their documentation is lacking. Their user manual for using KDE was from like 2005. I couldn't find a 4.2 manual anywhere on the site. I just installed Kubuntu 9.04 (64 bit). Seems pretty cool but cant figure out the plasma effects especially dealing with desktop icons. This should help. Thanks for posting it.
I like the desktop features freedom in gnome. and the taskbar configuration freedom in gnome. The less memory use of gnome. straight forward menu edit on gnome. better control over display settings.. etc... there are lots to say.I was using KDE for almost 4 years before introducing kde4.X series. I feel gnome have more options so more freedom too.
