  • This video was really put together well. The use of images in the background really help to dramatize the narration. The horrors that these soldiers dealt with were atrocious. This video really helps to capture the agony and sorrow these veterans feel.

  • This is an amazing video.

  • Thank you for such informative documentary...I loved it...God bless our soldiers.

  • First off, what a nice documentary. Thank God for Medics!

  • Amazing video. I am thankful for what this brave man did for our country. Medics are very important at war and I hope everyone is eternally grateful for what they did.

  • I appreciate this video quite a bit. Most of us have no idea of what men like Mr. Hemperley experience in war. The use of back and white photos in this video is excellent. The images are an amazing part of history. The stories are haunting. I am grateful. Thank you.

  • "...and they took very few prisoners after that..."

  • great salut to you, god bless you sir !

  • He must have been so brave! Support our troops!

  • I love that this veteran was able to share his experience of WW2. He endures me in being able to recall the memory of the little girl and the details so vividly. Very touching!

  • That's very sad, but at least he saved the womens life

  • This video was touching especially the story about the little girl.

  • Honorable :)

  • The story of helping the little girl with the arm is very touching

  • I always love old memorable it freezes that moment in time and preserves it for those not there and help us contact on a more intimate level.

  • This is a good video and to har stories of a corpmen in WWII is amazing. To think this person lives in our city is unbelieveable

  • I liked it too. My grandfather was a cook in the army in France during WWII.

  • I love his voice it sounds so nobel and wise. Great story what a man and a legacy this man leaves behind. :)

  • He is a hero who is blessed and i like to thank him for his very sad story.

  • I loved it! Kept my full attention the entire time.

  • This is a really great vid of what war was like for veterans. it was very kind of u to post, very important to share with the world...

  • Very moving video, thank you for all you have endured for our country.

  • I enjoy learning about our history and with out these videos I don't think anyone except our Veterans would know and understand the hardships they went through. Thanks for sharing a part of history.

  • This was a really great piece of storytelling. I really enjoyed the editing as well

  • Very loving man. all he cared about was helping those he can, a true hero

  • Nothing but respect for this man.

  • He was a medic in World War II, By him saying he wouldnt trade is life experience for a million dollars says alot about his character. He was more concerned about helping people and saving lives. I think that was the best part of this video.

  • This is a pretty sad video. The way the germans treated people back then were horrible. i don't blame them for not taking many prisoners after they found the camp.

  • Oh how hard it must have been to make a decision as big as removing somebody's arm like that to save a life... wow

  • A medic in World War II, thats so amazing a very good man. I love how we wouldn't trade his experience for a million dollars just showing how important this was for all our veterans

  • I thought this was a wonderfully video.I liked how he told the storys detail for deatail right down to the weather.I liked how the video was composed and edited. He seems like a sweet man.

  • What a wonderful man. It's men like these that deserve to be thanked. There are many people in the government and military that get so much recognition for lesser things. These men are the real heros. And I absolutely agree with sleepycrash. I love what he said there. "I was sent overseas to save lives, not destroy lives."

  • This video was very hard to watch. But to actually live through that and to see it up close and in person, you would have to be strong not just physically, but emotionally. This man, among many others, is the defenition of a hero.

  • "I was sent overseas to save lives, not destroy lives." I love that.

  • Oh my gosh. that poor little girl. Imagining it just makes me sick. Some people in the military turn into heartless monsters. I'm so grateful for people like him.

  • Judson Hemperley and all of our patriotic Veterans. . . thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you've done/do/will do.

  • congratulations, you deserved it. I think that the best part of this video is that it tells the horrors of war from an individual's point of view. It is also done with respect for the services of our veterans. I have visited Aushwitz, and I can say the horrors committed there need to be remembered, as well as the affect of these horrors on the observers. These little documentaries perform a great service to humanity, "documenting" both the good and bad. thank you

  • Such a touching story about the lady and her child and I bet it is a good feeling when you know you have save a life or two.

  • outstanding video. thanks for sharring

  • thank you for sharing this video with us!

  • It's an honor to film these men. I hope I find more willing to share.

  • God bless the medics! Angels on the battlefield ... who saved many who should have died. USAF medic, myself, although I never saw war. =] 5/5 stars!

  • Angels on the Battlefield... I like that! When did you serve?

  • Waaaaay after WWII - 1983-1985. Injured back twice in service, honorably discharged for medical reasons. Spent more time in hospital than working toward the end ... LOL Spent time on both ends of the chart!

  • So you can appreciate a good medic :)
